Heroic Sacrifice: Donnie manages to come up with a way to teleport the Technodrome back to Dimension X before it self-destructs, but to do so they would have no time to escape, causing them to die in the explosion if they don't suffocate in Dimension X's atmosphere first. While not ideal, the Hamatos agree that the city is more important.
In Spite of a Nail: In "Booyaka-Showdown, Part 2", Karai stopped Splinter from giving a finishing blow to the Shredder. Here it was the roof to Shredder's lair collapsing from the Kraang's invasion that puts a rain-check on their duel.
Portal Cut: The Hamatos manage to avert the invasion by using the Subspacial Endoparticle Disrupter on the portal while the Technodrome was half-way through it, splitting the ship in half. Unfortunately, the sliced half of the ship falls on top of TCRI and most of the surrounding area. Worse, it also causes the power-source to go critical, the resulting explosion potentially devastating enough to destroy New York anyway.
