Recap / SWTOR Knight Prologue

Go To

It is a dark era for the
JEDI ORDER. The Sith Empire
obliterated the Jedi Temple on
Coruscant and slaughtered
many of the Republic's brave
defenders during the last war.

The surviving Jedi have withdrawn
to their ancient homeworld of TYTHON, where
they take advantage of a
fragile peace to train a new
generation of guardians for the galaxy.

Now a new hope emerges. A
young padawan strong in
the Force journeys to Tython's
dangerous wilderness to
complete the final Jedi trials
and become Knight of the
Republic....

Tython

The Padawan arrives on Tython to report for training, but there is little time for greetings as an emergency signal comes in that the natives, known as flesh raiders, are attacking, and they're using blasters! Those should be beyond their understanding. The padawan is enlisted to help drive them back. During the fighting, a tunnel is discovered that the flesh raiders are coming through and the padawan is sent to seal it.

Inside a former Jedi is found to be the one leading the flesh raiders. He's tormenting another jedi, but stops when he sees the padawan, sensing someone dangerous. He calls for some of his followers and attacks, but the padawan is able to defeat him. Shortly after, Master Orgus Din of the Jedi Council arrives. He examines the body, determining that this young man is no Jedi. A Sith? They don;t know where Tython is. And his lightsaber...Orgus seems to think it's familiar. But there's still an open route that the attackers are using and Orgus uses the Force to cause a cave in, sealing the tunnel. He then orders the padawan to the Jedi Council.

Before arriving, the padawan receives a call from Satele Shan, Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. She want to talk before meeting with the full council. Master Satele has a few questions to ask about the encounter as well as some advice to offer. She seems to have a keen interest in this particular padawan.

In the council chambers, Master Bela Kiwiiks reveals that there is no record of this man being at the temple. Her padawan, Kira Carsen, thinks the Sith have found them and that they should prepare for an attack. They also talk about a darkness they;ve been sensing lately. Master Orgus htne present the padawan as the one who drove back the flesh raiders. This has Master Satele greatly concerned. How could they go from disorganized primitives to an organized force? True their leader is dead, but there is probably more to it.

Orgus decides to investigate personally, along with the padawan. The others are surprised that he would take an apprentice, but he senses potential in this one. Satele agrees and it's official. Orgus gives instructions to get ready.

First thing they'll need is allies. There are some Twi'lek pilgrims in a nearby settlement who might have more information on flesh raiders than they do. It's a good place to start.

Before getting anything out of them, the padawan will have to earn the trust of the village matriarch, Sumari. She is not all that willing to assist, since the Jedi are formally forbidden from helping them by the Republic. Sumari, does not appear to be well, however, and leaves her daughter Ranna and the chief scout Moorint to talk to the padawan. They propose two ideas for dealing with the flesh raiders, Moorint's idea is to sabotage their weapons to blow up taking them out while Ranna favors seizing those weapon for the pilgrims use.
