The Knights of Grimm - Act 1 - An Eye For An Eye • The story takes place directly after Volume 4, after the death of the Nuckelavee
• Ruby wakes up after a horrific nightmare of a place called the Charred Forest, seeing Pyrrha, Roman and hearing the Nuckelavee
• Team RWBY begin their journey to Mistral, Weiss gets attacked by Mercenaries whilst Ruby meets with Professor Lionheart with Team RNJR and Qrow, Blake fights in her rebellion against the White Fang and Yang continues her journey
• Yang meets with a merchant at her campfire and then the next day reunites with an old friend and old love of hers she had (a childhood crush in fact) named Kassius Locke in a motel, battling against bandits and catching up after all that lost time
• Weiss finds Neptune and begins their romantic relationship as he protects her from the Mercenaries and gets her to a safehouse owned by the rest of Team S.S.S.N
• Sun reveals that his parents were killed by Hazel Rainart
• RNJR meet with Lionheart and find their place
• Blake in Menagerie captures the White Fang Lieutenant, but that night Ilia warns them an attack is coming, and the first of the four Knights of Grimm attack the Colony. The Knight of Fury specifically is the first to be revealed, and he kills Ghira and Kali Belladonna, Sun and Blake escape on the ship they arrived on, heading to Mistral...broken from the heavy loss.
• Yang and Kassius continue their journey to Mistral and they arrive there, searching for Ruby after hearing about RNJR killing the Legendary Nuckelavee
• Oscar arrives at Mistral and meets RNJR and Qrow, and reveals that Ozpin has mysteriously paired his soul with his own, after explaining the situation he states they must secure the Relic of Creation (Unlike Canon for reasons)
• Jaune displays his anger towards Ozpin for what happened to Pyrrha, and this follows throughout the series with his distrust in him
• Ruby, Weiss and Yang reunite together in a touching moment
• Weiss states she needs their help to change her identity to find her sister, since she found out Winter was spotted and looked injured, hurt by the Mercenary Company called the Acolytes of Lien – led by Admiral Darren Ortega
• Jacques reveals himself as a major antagonist, preventing Weiss from changing her identity and sending more Mercenaries after his daughters – either dead or alive
• Jaune meets Pyrrha’s mother
• Blake and Sun arrive at Mistral
• Kassius reveals his team were killed by an assassin known as the Onyx Phantom and that he saw one of the other Knights of Grimm – Death
• He tells them the Fable of the Four Knights, a story he read in the library once at Haven, about four Knights turned into monsters by the Brother of Darkness (Unaware this was Vir Nominis Umbra at the time and that the stories changed him into a God)
• Death, Fear, Loss and Fury – the Knights of Grimm
• Team RWBY fully reunite now that Blake is here, after some tension between Yang, Blake and Sun is shown from the problems that they have
• They share stories happily with each other
• Cinder shows signs of redemption and is punished for lying about the death of Ozpin, being humiliated by Salem and branded with Fury’s burning hand
• Salem turns Cinder into her warrior, giving her another chance as the Onyx Phantom reveals itself to be fighting for Salem as well
• Adam finds what remains of Menagerie and sees the destruction, officially turning against Salem for the deaths of all those Faunus
• They begin the search for Winter, chasing down Henry Marigold that Weiss met at Atlas, an informant, and they capture him, but during interrogation he is assassinated by the Onyx Phantom
• S.S.S.N find Winter injured
• They help her recover but Team R.W.B.Y are attacked by Tyrian Callows and Cinder’s crew – and Death attacks their car in Nevermore form, carrying them to an abandoned Merlot Industries Facility, dropping them in
• Ruby meets Cinder again
• When Cinder tries to kill Ruby the rest of the heroes arrive and save her, battling against the villains
• As they escape Death comes out of nowhere and crashes their car, breaking Ruby’s aura against a tree
• Yang fights Team W.T.C.H herself and with her team’s help they manage to beat them in combat until Death attacks, nearly killing them
• Raven and Qrow save them, fighting Death and being saved by a ghost of Summer Rose
• Merlot enters the series as one of the men working with Jacques Schnee and Darren Ortega
• Salem begins her plan, Watts begins a huge Riot in Mistral with the rage from Fury helping him, starting to attract Grimm to the city like at Beacon
• Lionheart betrays them and kills Sage in the process, and the entire team of A.B.R.N is wiped out by the Knights of Grimm as they attack the school, killing the unprepared students in droves
• Leo destroys the walls that surrounds Mistral and Qrow attacks him, trying to stop him as the Grimm invade
• It is revealed that Qrow is Ruby’s father (I liked the idea, I know it isn’t canon though) when Fear sends nightmares into his mind of when Summer died due to his Bad Luck Charm
• The Battle of Mistral Begins
• Scarlet David dies by Death’s hand in the process
• Adam helps them fight and destroy Fury’s form (not killing him though)
• Jaune manages to destroy Loss in one swing with Crocea Mors
• Weiss gets stabbed through the stomach by Death and nearly dies in the process
• Neptune gets his legs broken in the battle from Death’s Fatal Feathers
• Oscar gets captured by Fear
• Ruby loses her eye by Death as he fires an arrow at them, and Jaune carries her away as Mistral falls around them
• Jaune lures the Knights and the Grimm away from Ruby and Yang finds her
• Yang snaps when seeing her sister missing an eye, decimating some Acolytes of Lien Mercenaries
• Death and Tyrian both capture Ruby and takes her to Salem
• Raven saves the heroes with her Bandit Tribe and takes them in
• Lionheart is killed by Death by Salem’s order after she promised him survival, lying after his usefulness was used up
• A dark entity states that this is the beginning of the end to Death, revealing there is a higher force
• Named Vir Nominis Umbra
The Knights of Grimm – Act 2 – Captured • Begins with a flashback that shows Ilia having to sell Kassius’ team out to the Onyx Phantom and Fear, revealing a plot to use Kassius’ mysterious semblance
• The Spectre is introduced, leading a team of Acolytes of Lien as they hunt down at kill Neon and Flynt
• Ruby is captured with a bandage over her missing eye, in the custody of Tyrian Callows – beginning her agonising suffering by his hand that will change her forever
• The survivors from Mistral are being protected by Raven’s Tribe who have set up a base in an Arkhoni Ruin inside of a mountain
• Arkhoni and Arkhonex are the ancient civilisation that came before
• They learn that they need to find someone called The Architect in the Deserts of Mistral (yes there is a desert in Mistral, I didn’t get that confused)
• When they arrive, they fight against a bunch of Giant Deathstalkers, revealing Kassius’ Swords (Lash Equinox) can be connected together and extend into a double ended javelin
• They meet the Architect for the first time, a Robot with an Arkhoni A.I designated with the planning of constructing entire cities and buildings
• He has become something far more impressive, learning how to fight and survive
• The Spectre attacks them as they try and follow the Architect and he holds them hostage, threatening to kill Nora in front of Ren and everyone
• Jaune reveals he survived, and he cuts the Spectre’s arm off in one swing, saving them
• The Onyx Phantom appears and fights Jaune as they fight the Mercenaries
• They return back to the safehouse to find a message is waiting for them, a recording from Tyrian as he tortures Ruby, demanding they bring Ozpin to them, unaware that he is actually in Oscar’s head and they already have him, meaning all that torture is for nothing
• Kassius’ semblance is revealed when Adam is shown being saved by Raven’s Bandits, and seeing the man who cut his girlfriend’s arm off makes him go berserk, the semblance is revealed as an entity called Mr. Hyde that lives in his head, attacking Adam and breaking his horns, nearly killing Ilia too if not for Yang knocking him out
• Adam’s backstory is revealed, and that he is actually blind due to getting his eyes scorched by a previous Onyx Phantom, showing how the start of his initial downfall began…but also the start of a potential redemption
• Yang meets Hyde for the first time, frightening her to see Kassius acting so creepily
• Oscar’s semblance is revealed, that he can manipulate Time, and that only Death can actually move despite time being manipulated
• They meet Kragen Nox for the first time, the Architect’s master and an old Silver Eyed Warrior in a Keep where he has been rescuing those with Silver Eyes to keep them alive from Salem
• He takes them through Dragonspire Keep and he explains everything, the past of Arkhonex and what happened to them all, the fact there was a 5th Knight of Grimm called Vengeance, but they freed him from his curse
• He also states that Salem was once a Silver Eyed Warrior and that only a Nikos can kill her, due to the curse she is bound to
• And Pyrrha was the last that could stand against her, and she is dead
• After Jacques took over Atlas’ Military, he had Ironwood arrested
• Kragen tells them that there is an Arkhoni Book hidden in the Emerald Forest, the same place where they met each other, and that the Book is called a Visionary Book with the memories of a forgotten past inside
• They head there, and they look into the past
• The Visionary Book shows Axzura Vex, a pirate Captain and the same man that would become the Knight of Fury leading an attack
• It also shows Krekras Blackridge, who would become the Knight of Death fighting as a Vanguard, the first kind of Huntsman
• The memory collapses and as they leave the chamber, they meet the Knight of Fear, Cinder, Hazel, Emerald and Mercury outside
• Fear reveals that Qrow is Ruby’s father to them all, to Yang as well, forming distrust from Yang towards Qrow
• Fear suddenly attacks them with the Fear Toxin, sending nightmares into everyone, showing them their worst fears
• Shows Neptune’s fear of water revealed, as he lost his parents when a dam was destroyed, and they drowned in the water as a bridge collapsed, and he watched them die
• Kassius faces against the demon in his head, Blake sees her parents and they all suffer in different ways
• Kassius reveals that Cinder’s real name is actually Sapphire
• He also reveals that they are twins, he is older than her by only a few minutes and that something tore them apart
• Not only this but Loss’ real name is Starla Schnee, and that she is, in fact, an ancient ancestor of Weiss’
• Cinder lowers her weapon after realizing her brother is alive, and when she stands there, Yang mistakes her standing there to be to attack her boyfriend, so she tries to help him, scaring Cinder
• She fires an arrow at Kassius by accident and the eye blast erupts beneath him, the fire burning the side of his face and throwing him off the cliff
• Yang helps him and the Onyx Phantom attacks, smashing Nora’s face into the ground over and over again, nearly killing her, but they force the Phantom to retreat
• Cinder disappears
• Kassius and Nora are both taken to recover back at the Safehouse and Kassius tells his side of the story, that they were raised on Vytal and were attacked by the Grimm
• Kassius was nearly eaten alive by a Terror Bird Grimm as a child and Cinder had thought he died when she was forced to run, by his order
• Taiyang saved Kassius before it was too late and helped him recover, raised with Yang and they formed a close bond
• Cinder’s real name is Sapphire Locke
• Ruby challenges Death to a game of chess for their freedom and Mercury joins in, and she wins, meaning Mercury will die for losing at some point
• But she never made the date of being free clear, meaning that they are not going anywhere any time soon
• President Thaddeus Brimstone and Willow Schnee are revealed (Weiss’ Mother)• Kragen tells the fable of the Squires of Light
• The next step to Kragen’s plan begins, as they have learned of an Ancient Library from Arkhonex out in Vacuo where another Visionary Book is waiting
• Weiss and Neptune begin their own personal mission to find Neptune’s Mother’s Medallion in the flooded town where his parents died
• Kassius learns of a way to find and get revenge on Ilia, so Yang helps him…but she does not want him to let his revenge take over his life
• Kragen’s past is explored, revealing he was the Old Wizard that created the Four Maidens and that one of them fell in love with him – the Spring Maiden, and that after the first transition of the power the Immortality is lost
• But Yenna never died
• On their mission, Weiss and Neptune fight Watts and some Mercenaries sent to kill them
• Kassius’ contact is revealed to be Blackjack, a man who has information on those attempting to change their identity, and he is revealed to be Junior
• After a tense exchange, and after Kassius nearly sawed his head in half, he sets up a meeting
• Despite what she did she explains she had no choice and has nightmares of them every day, and Yang convinces Kassius that he does not need to kill her because she is punished for her decision every day
• During a battle in the Library, Fear summons the Lord of the Wood to fight – the Higher Demon that causes Nora to lose her family and find Ren at Kuroyuri
• Fear realises that Oscar and Ruby are making an escape, one that Hazel helps make a success for Oscar but Fear lures Ruby away
• Ruby burns Tyrian’s eye out with a brand with the Salem Eye
• Death kills Mercury when he and Emerald attempt to help them, and Emerald escapes
• Ruby sees Fear and she tries to get out, only for her to suddenly see Roman Torchwick
• She falls unconscious and Torchwick is revealed to be trapped in Ruby’s head now, or at least a hallucination of him
• Hazel sent Oscar through a portal that threw him to Kassius and Yang
• Kragen tries to get to the Visionary Book, only for the Entity of Time to stop him by burning it to ash as he freezes time, scaring the man
• The same entity approaches Oscar and tells him he is the Last Traveller
• He sends Oscar through time and shows him the first meeting of Team RWBY and then sends him to Arkhonex, where he meets the Knights of Grimm apart from Fury one by one, and then meets a young woman called Cynthia Nikos
• He also meets Vir Nominis Umbra for the first time, unaware he is the real monster
• He gives him a choice, to either help Cynthia by sleeping with her (She mistakes him for her knight in shining armour) or to give her a potion that would make her believe it to be true, but he never did
• He loves Ruby, not her, and he is loyal, so he tricks her and gets on the Dauntless – a man named Wymerus Ozymandias’ is the captain of the ship
• As they set off, speaking with Vir Nominis Umbra here and there on the journey, but then a storm hits as they approach the mysterious Volcanic Chain Isles, throwing him out and sending him back through time to the present
• Yang and Kassius get attacked after they decided to take a drive together when they got Oscar to safety
• The Spectre and the Onyx Phantom attack them, nearly killing Yang in the process until Summer Rose returns, cutting his other arm off
• Jaune arrives just in time with help, battling against the Onyx Phantom and he finally reveals the Phantom’s face
• As Pyrrha Nikos
• She escapes, and it is shown that she was brought back to life with the Relic of Creation after they acquired it at Mistral, brainwashing her with the idea of the Onyx Phantom
• Roman’s past is revealed, and it is shown that Vir Nominis Umbra is more than they realize, as he is the reason, he became more powerful and Neo lost her voice, by a poison he gave her as a cost for that power
• Vir Nominis Umbra is definitely not human to survive all these years
• Neo is also revealed to be the previous Onyx Phantom before Pyrrha was brought back, and she was the one that Jaune injured back when they first met the Architect since he stabbed a hook through her shoulder
• They all return back to the safe house, plotting their next move now they know that they are taking Ruby to the Volcanic Chain Isles to find the Relic of Choice
• But going there with the amount of forces against them is a suicide mission, but they are ready
• They learn of an Atlesian Submarine called the Tethys they can use to go under the storm
• Thaddeus and the Atlesian Military also agree to fight with them, but they must get the barrier down
• Qrow also speaks with Vir Nominis Umbra, knowing they must start their mission now
• The team head out to find the Tethys, and Jaune goes to see the grave of his eldest sister – Skyler Arc – who was killed, and they buried her by a lake
• Sun approaches and says that he may have to fight Pyrrha, but he also says that he is ready for whatever he has to do
• And she will remember him
• They get to the Tethys and begin the mission
• After crossing the Cruel Sea that arrive at the constant stormy islands
• They battle against the monsters here and they find the Storm Barrier Tower, and they go to shut it down
• On the way there, Yang and Kassius are saved from an unexpected old friend
• Penny Polendina
• It is revealed that she was rebuilt and was sent in but for some reason, she is exactly the same…leaving the question in their minds of why Merlot did not reset her memory
• Her memory is also quite damaged too, a certain drive is missing from her memory core
• Pyrrha and Jaune battle on top of the tower, and at the end, she remembers, and she saves him as he falls to what would have been his death
• She pulls him from the water and walks away, beginning her arc in the next act
• The Storm Barrier is deactivated, and they ambush the Knights of Grimm in a lethal attack
• The Atlesians roll in but they are not alone, as Zwei suddenly is launched into Fear’s face, revealing Oobleck, Port, Taiyang, Glynda and Team C.F.V.Y are here as well, along with Ilia who brought the White Fang with them and many others
• All-out war follows in the Volcanic Chain Isles
• Ilia is killed by Tyrian
• Ruby is saved by Cinder who returns and breaks her free from Tyrian and she destroys the Lord of the Wood’s form in an epic return that saves her friends this time
• Kassius, Blake and Adam say goodbye to Ilia when they find her, and she dies in Kassius’ arms…and Hyde begins to change, showing signs of a good side of the entity that is not just evil
• They storm the interior of the Volcanic Chain Isles where Salem is headed to take the Relic
• As they enter, Fury finds the treasure trove he lost all those years ago, but when he lays his hands upon the gold it crumbles to dust in his hands, leaving him with nothing
• He snaps, attacking everything in his path
• During the battle inside and outside, Adam loses his arm and Watts is killed by the combined teamwork of Neptune, Sun, Kassius and Oscar as they cause Fury to explode when they destroy him, the fire consuming and eradicating him in the process
• They battle the Knights and take them down one at a time in the final battle and they defeat Salem
• The Volcanic Chain under the ground erupts from Nora slamming her hammer into the ground with the combined power of Neptune’s electricity (his semblance in Knights of Grimm), and the Islands begin to explode
• Ruby gets the three Relics that were taken (one Relic was in Ozpin’s Cane (Knowledge)) and they finally take Ruby out of there
• Jacques learns of their defeat and goes into hiding as Ironwood is released by Willow
• Ruby kisses Oscar (starting Rose Garden)
• Yang takes Ruby back home, and Taiyang is getting ready to follow after they are debriefed
• But when they arrive Tyrian is waiting for them
• They engage in an intense fight, which leads to the destruction of their home at Patch, burning all their beloved memories of their mother
• Crescent Rose is also destroyed in the process, it breaks Ruby’s arm as well and she suffers intense burns on her body that scar her for life
• After a brutal fight between Yang and Tyrian, Weiss and Blake show up thanks to Raven’s portal and find the destruction and help fight Tyrian
• Tyrian is killed by Ruby, thrown off the cliff where her mother’s grave is, and she watches as he falls to his death
• Story ends with Salem on her own in the desert, because she teleported away when Ruby shot her with Crescent Rose
• She is confronted by Vir Nominis Umbra, revealing that this is only the beginning of the end
The Knights of Grimm – Act 3 – Shattered Memory • Begins with a flashback of Pyrrha as a child, and people treating her poorly due to her name
• The flashback shows her meeting Vir Nominis Umbra as a kid and accidentally becoming bound by a pact with him, then showing her death and where she went
• To the Charred Forest, Ruby’s Nightmares
• Umbra states that now she is his to command and control
• 5 Years Pass…
• The world has entered a state of peace, but they know that it is not over, their enemies are just waiting for the right time to play their card
• RWBY fight against the White Fang, stopping him from completing a robbery with the White Fang
• Jaune continues his search to find Pyrrha with Nora, Ren and Kassius
• Someone is chasing her, but they get back to Beacon and reunite with everyone, Oscar and Ruby are now in a fully committed relationship
• A trader arrives with some equipment for Penny and supplies to help repair the school
• Qrow, Raven and Taiyang continue their search for the Spring Maiden
• Ruby reveals her PTSD when she sees a hallucination of Tyrian
• Jacques reveals himself to be alive and, on the run, re-recruiting Ortega and revealing a rivalry between him and Pyrrha Nikos
• Qrow, Tai and Raven have a new lead and they follow it to an Arkhoni Structure where they find Ozpin, the real Ozpin…in stasis somehow
• Ozpin is in a comatose state
• Salem is shown in the desert also on the run, wearing a poncho and being protected by the Lord of the Wood
• The Knights of Grimm return and show that the enemies are still out there, as they start cutting off loose ends with the help of Neo and the Spectre to not leave any openings in their plan
• Trouble in Vacuo arises when the Headmaster and his Pyromancer are assassinated by Cardin Winchester who also was forced to kill his team
• Pyrrha is shown to actually be in Vale as well, meaning Jaune’s search is closer to home that he actually realises
• A new enemy reveals itself to Qrow’s team, skeletal corrupted souls unlike the Grimm that attack them when they save Ozpin that track teleportations across Remnant and can appear anywhere at will
• They are called the Knights’ Bannermen
• Fennec and Corsac Albain are both revealed to be alive and have started a new, more fanatical, White Fang, one that kills anyone who does not believe in their ideas, including other Faunus
• At Vacuo a man named the Trinity Marshall sends soldiers after Weiss, committing a terrorist attack on a Schnee Dust Company Branch Building
• When RWBY, Sun, Neptune and Kassius investigate they are betrayed by Team N.D.G.O
• They have to fight them, and end up killing them all, Ruby butchers Dew by cutting her arm and legs off for some reason, showing signs of extreme savagery
• The Trinity Marshall is Jacques Schnee
• Jaune and his team track down and manage to save Pyrrha from the Spectre and Neo and the mercenaries at their disposal, protecting her at Beacon
• This attracts Atlas and Thaddeus Braxton, and he demands they hand her over so then they can have her face justice since they blame her for the fall of Beacon and Haven all those years ago, despite neither were her fault
• They get arrested and sent to Atlas where they come up with a plan to escape and save Pyrrha
• Neo’s backstory is revealed, showing that Umbra saved her from bandits and had her become one of his Proxies like the Spectre did
• On their journey, Qrow Raven and Tai meet with the Witches of the Restless Marshlands in the hope of finding the Spring Maiden since she passed through here, but they only give the information if they stop some Grimm from causing problems, and they find them – they are Merlot’s Monsters that glow green and they clear them out
• They find out she used a device called a Mirror that sent her somewhere called Ephai where another Mirror is, a type of portal but it is not very accurate since it would only go to those that remain
• And one is at Vacuo
• Oscar and Vir Nominis Umbra share an intimidating discussion about the Laws of the Mind
• Cinder and Hazel continue their search for the Summer Maiden, taking a boat through the abandoned Arkhoni City of Ephai
• They meet up with Qrow, Raven and Tai, battling against the Knights’ Bannermen, Fear and Fury along with Fennec and Corsac Albain with some Feral White Fang by their side
• But they learn that Yenna came out this mirror and not at Vacuo, but then she vanished and seemed to be with Summer
• Leaving their trail cold
• Ruby snaps at Weiss when she confronts her about Dew’s death, and she storms off into the desert on her own to be alone, and ends up fighting both Neo and Salem at once, nearly being killed if not for Oscar saving her life
• Jaune and his team are confronted by Ironwood and President Thaddeus Brimstone with something called the Atlesian Coalition, an idea that would have all Huntsmen serve the Atlesians instead of freelance
• Taking away their individuality
• Ortega’s past is revealed as he confronts Pyrrha in her cell, telling her his tale about his marriage to someone who was once his enemy, and that his daughter – Penny Polendina – took her own life when Pyrrha refused to help her when they were at Sanctum Academy
• He killed the bullies who hurt her, and was left with nothing but rage
• He could kill her, but he didn’t – because there is still goodness in Ortega, and even he knows that
• But he cannot face Penny as she is…not yet
• Ruby and Oscar use his semblance to get down to the Vault to find the Mirror, but they find something else – the Visionary Book
• She watches as Vir Nominis Umbra creates the Knights of Grimm after what Oscar had seen, as Kragen’s team are decimated by the Grimm, including his apprentice called Kannix Volantis
• Ruby agrees to go to Kragen and learn more about her Silver Eyes since she still cannot use them properly, so she goes to calm down and recover, learning more about her mother and her past with Kragen
• Blake goes to see Sienna to sort out the White Fang/Human Relations• The Clean Slate begins – a protocol created by Vir Nominis Umbra and his many allies
• He has Vacuo, Mistral and Atlas crippled in 30 minutes, unleashing a plague called Horridus Morbus upon the city that infects Weiss, Yang, Sun and Neptune and the entire city
• Mistral is crippled by Umbra as he kills Sienna in the form of Blake to pin the blame on her and turn the White Fang against humanity and Blake once more
• Atlas gets attacked by the Acolytes of Lien, a bomb detonates and kills the Politicians of the world, including Ironwood, Thaddeus Brimstone, Willow, Klein, Lisa Lavender and many more
• Jaune’s team escape Atlas as the Acolytes take over the entire city from within• As they escape, they are pursued by the Spectre and he shoots them down over the Emerald Forest
• Kassius snaps when he sees Nora, Ren, Port and Oobleck unconscious but he thought they were dead, and he goes berserk, letting Hyde take over as he fights Kannix
• Kragen, the Silver Eyed Warriors (Gray, Serena and Vos), the Architect, Oscar and Ruby arrive and help fight off the Lord of the Wood, and reveals that the Spectre is Kannix Volantis, Kragen’s long lost apprentice
• He reveals he is ageless thanks to Umbra and he was never killed on the islands, he was being torn apart over and over because his semblance is to convert pain into strength for healing, keeping him alive no matter what
• Before he could defeat his teacher the Lord of the Wood pulls him away
• They get everyone back to Beacon and Qrow takes a few friends with their aura up to save Yang, Weiss, Sun and Neptune from the now infected Vacuo
• Winter and Blake escape Mistral which is now under Acolytes of Lien control again
• Pyrrha and Jaune in the forest get caught by Umbra and he sends their souls back to the Charred Forest, through thousands of tests and eventually they survive them, returning back home after Pyrrha fights the Onyx Phantom demon and defeating it
• Raven and Qrow’s backstory are revealed
• Pyrrha and Jaune return and see Cinder again (despite that she is now on their side like Hazel)
• Adam turns against Blake and frees Mazen Ursus (White Fang Lieutenant) and they escape after a tense confrontation after the death of Sienna Khan
• Cinder reveals what happened to her after the Emerald Forest back in Act 2 when she saw Kassius again
• She was taken in after she collapsed from exhaustion by a farmer and he taught her it is never too late to come back, and that despite everything she has done, he still looked after her and made sure she survived
• When she woke up the farm was attacked, and he was murdered, so she tracked the killers down and killed them, vowing that nobody else will die for no reason again
• Not like her brother nearly did
• She is now an Anti-Hero
• They learn that Menagerie went quiet, which was one of the reasons that Sienna also wanted Blake to come by because of what happened, along with Ruby – not everything was about Faunus/Human Relations
• Menagerie went dark, so they agree to go investigate it
• Pyrrha ties her hair back into a ponytail again and she is back in her armour with a smile, being the great Pyrrha Nikos once more
• They go to Menagerie in the hopes to find answers there, and that hopefully to find Merlot (suspecting him to be the creator of the Horridus Morbus plague)
• When they arrive, it is barren and abandoned, once full of people and now a ghost town
• Then suddenly they find someone at the same time as when they recovered B.R.N.Z from Vacuo at the same time as the four Afflicted, and Brawnz shows symptoms of the mutations
• The disease mutates him into a feral zombie, bone mutating in his arm and forming a long tusk like claw through his limb, and despite he dies…he rises back up and kills May viciously and tries to do the same to Yang
• And everyone in Menagerie has suffered the same fate
• Horridus Morbus infects people and turns them into Grimm Hybrids that kill anything that moves
• The Menagerie team get attacked by a horde and they have to get inside of the Belladonna Estate to survive, only to be ambushed by the Knights of Grimm
• Kragen sends the three Silver Eyed ones to distract the Knight of Death but they get killed thanks to him, shaking Ruby’s trust in him, and Ruby reveals her Spirit Animal to him
• She ignites her eyes and transforms into the Big Bad Wolf as she fights Death, a huge black wolf like Fenrir
• The White Fang are here too, investigating the Merlot Industries facility at the radar station set up at the outskirts of the colony
• The team keep moving and arrive there too, seeing his many monstrosities and finally they find a corrupted Visionary Book inside of a research facility
• They also find Yenna at the facility, as it turns out she came here in the hopes to stop the experiments from getting any worse, only to fail
• Ruby uses it and sees a vision, of Vir Nominis Umbra destroying the four relics in a single moment and wiping out the entire universe
• Leaving nothing behind
• They speak to Merlot after, revealing he tested the plague that has been modified on to turn them into monsters by Umbra’s command
• The White Fang attack and Adam dies at the end along with Fennec and Port and the rest of the Elite White Fang (Bar Mazen and Corsac)
• They take Port back to be buried, but they don’t have the time
• Kassius, Jaune and Pyrrha go to find medicine to help the Afflicted, but Kassius finds something in his dorm – a live feed by Merlot
• He reveals that he is his father and that he has turned against Umbra – has always been against him, working in the shadows and learning to lie so then he gets all the information he can in the hopes to find a weakness in him for the real heroes
• He also reveals…that he made a pact with him…one to gain his trust, and the cost of that pact was to have a Higher Demon known as the Ebony Berserker to haunt Kassius – his eldest child
• This causes Hyde to snap in his mind, not wanting to believe himself a monster, and taking full control into a rage he has never known, one he could not be broken from, destroying his room and horrifying his father as he leaves
• Whereas back at the Amphitheatre – Vir Nominis Umbra arrives, and kills 20 of Raven’s bandits who were here guarding the place when they were away, and he does not even look at them, he just walks past them, and they all die instantly, every organ shutting down instantaneously
• Vir Nominis Umbra reveals that he was also the Old Shopkeep the whole time, the man they joked about was actually a monster, and he was always there for moments that would define their future
• Ruby meeting Torchwick, first meeting Penny, learning Penny’s secret, Emerald and Mercury, he was at the Vytal Festival when it all went wrong
• What was a joke…is now much more terrifying
• Umbra kills Oobleck, Roy, Nolan and Taiyang in front of them all, and suddenly Ozpin awakens from his coma and lands behind Umbra, revealing himself to be the long-lost Knight of Vengeance and the Entity of Time
• They engage in an epic battle and so do Arkos and Kassius, one that nearly kills both of them and Hyde runs
• Vir Nominis Umbra is weakened by Ruby’s eyes and Ozpin smashes his mace across Umbra’s face, actually hurting him
• Vir Nominis Umbra retreats, leaving them with everything they have lost
• Kassius gets captured outside Vale and teleported to Vacuo by the Trafficker’s leader – a bandit tribe well known for slavery, and Ruby disappears
• Vir Nominis Umbra locates and kills the Summer Maiden, stealing her power and becoming even stronger
• Story ends
The Knights of Grimm – Act 4 – Whispers of Arkhonex • Starts with a flashback to Arkhonex, showing an ancient Arc Relative of Jaune’s using Crocea Mors, an unbelievably powerful weapon that managed to decimate the Grimm in the final days of the war
• Jaune awakens, both he and Pyrrha stable, seeing the sword still shimmering, giving him his ancestor’s memories
• Ruby has become an Anti-Hero, losing faith in herself as a Huntress and stating she is no longer a huntress
• Kassius has been captured and turned into a slave, taken to an Arkhoni Structure in Vacuo’s deserts, a huge Coliseum
• He is forced to fight like a gladiator against other slaves, and one of those slaves is revealed to be Cardin Winchester
• They fight side-by-side but Cardin wins, but they become good friends instead of enemies
• Ruby’s friends head out to find her after she saved Jaune’s little sister and they find her at her mother’s grave, crying over the death of her father (of choice, not by blood)
• They take Ruby back so then they can send all those who died off with honour, saying goodbye at a beautiful funeral
• Ozpin explains himself, that he is actually a Knight of Grimm and lied to them all about it to protect them in case Umbra was listening, it was why he attacked Beacon in the first place
• He also explains that Umbra will bring about the annihilation of everything by destroying the Relics and ending everything
• There are four Higher Demons, but one of them is now on their side it just does not know it yet – the four are called: The Whisperer, The Onyx Phantom, the Lord of the Wood and the Ebony Berserker
• Qrow takes Yenna, Kragen and the Architect to the Witches since they are the best hope for the Afflicted’s survival from Horridus Morbus
• When they get there the place has been attacked, and they are confronted by the real Onyx Phantom, a powerful Demon that shows itself as a dark reflection, and the Lord of the Wood is there too
• They defeat them and recruit the Witches to help and they examine them, knowing a way but it means going to Arkhonex and finding the Embered Grove for a plant needed to create a cure
• Kassius and Cardin are in luck, for the White Fang now lead by Mazen Ursus – the new High Leader – attack the Traffickers and Kelham escapes, Mazen lets them go with honor in his eyes, now leading a bunch of insane Faunus soldiers behind him, starting to show signs of redemption in him
• As they make their escape, they stumble across someone long lost for an entire act – Emerald Sustrai – somehow alive but barely hanging on
• They take her somewhere safe and begin to patch her up with a medkit they found along the way
• They are confronted by Vir Nominis Umbra who helped them escape and he states that he wants to set up a game, of who gets to Arkhonex and Merlot first
• Kassius needs to find his father and a cure for Yang and the others
• Umbra wants Merlot punished for his betrayal
• Their interests are aligned
• When they are forced to agree, they turn to see Emerald has recovered, thanks to Vir Nominis Umbra
• The new trio (on shaky ground) know of a man who has his hands on Pyrrha’s Circlet that has something on it that can help them, thanks to Umbra reminding them
• They head out and recruit some old friends to help
• Jaune takes his friends and they meet with his parents since they know of Vyrryk Arc (Jaune’s Ancestor he saw in the memory at the beginning) and the family line, the past of the Arcs and many more, learning that they also have a hidden Visionary Book of Vyrryk’s past
• Cinder officially moves on from her past, letting her old dress Salem had her wear float away and she makes her own identity, changing her outfit and so on
• The Fallingwater Estate Heist begins
• Kassius called Velvet and Coco for their help and they accepted, since Yatsuhashi and Fox have been captured by the same enemy that they share
• They follow the heist through, getting the circlet and watching as Whitley murders a powerful Drug Lord for basically no reason
• They escape, and tensions are high in the team due to Emerald and her past with Beacon, and Cardin with Coco and Velvet
• Ruby’s team head out on their mission, using their ship and Raven’s portal to quickly get to Mistral to find a place called the Chapel of Vengeance and Dawn, a place that once belonged to a people called the Congregation of Dawn
• Fanatics who worshipped Vir Nominis Umbra as a god
• As they arrive, they find the book, but they get ambushed when Jaune uses it
• He lives his ancestor’s past, seeing everything he went through and the crimes the Chapel committed, officially starting the Faunus’ Horrific Judgement by humanity since they killed them for their race
• As Jaune exits the book he enters a fight with Kannix, Neo, Fear and the Knights’ Bannermen
• They narrowly win and nearly kill Kannix, but he gets away
• Kassius’ team head to the Island of Vytal – where Kassius was born and nearly died – and where the circlet hints at going to in its ancient language
• As they arrive, so does Salem, now fighting at full strength once more per Umbra’s orders
• She sends the Grimm in and they attack the Hunters
• They get inside and are faced with many horrors of their past
• Kassius and Hyde witness the truth of Hyde’s past as the Higher Demon, seeing a Universe ending by Vir Nominis Umbra’s hand
• First, their memories and knowledge were lost, then their ability to do anything, and then everything physically crumbled away until nothing remained
• No explosion, it just silently ends
• Ortega betrays Jacques Schnee after they betray him by selling him out and trying to have the Trafficker’s Leader – Kelham take his place and taking away his chance to get his daughter back
• Ortega shoots Whitley in the head but Jacques’ recently released brother (a scientist) takes his son and transcends his aura into a modified Atlesian Knight Robot so then he can become an A.I
• Whilst they wait for anything Kassius’ team can find in the Map Room hinted at by the circlet, Kragen leaves the safety of the Chapel to take a moment
• Unaware that Kannix has been training to become the next Onyx Phantom’s Disciple like Pyrrha was with Neo
• And he has found him, going against Umbra’s orders
• The two fight and he nearly kills Kragen, leaving him, Qrow and Winter alone in the storm
• The heroes fight against the Grimm to get to Kragen but when they find him, they encounter a mysterious entity
• One called the Whisperer
• He nearly kills Kragen and kills them all
• If not for Ruby’s eyes, they would have died
• Kragen is saved by surgery done by the Architect, Penny and Yenna
• Ozpin reveals and explains some of his past, why he was obsessed with Revenge on Fury and the Battle against the Congregation of Dawn
• When searching the catacombs, Kassius’ team across a mysterious ball of blue light which guides them towards the Map Room
• Kassius’ team find lost information on the people of Arkhonex and figure out that Axzura Vex came here to find all the strongholds belonging to the Congregation of Dawn, and they came here to find all the Faunus
• They meet Jinn in the Expanse
• She tells them of some of Vir Nominis Umbra’s past, but she does not know the full truth of what happened between him and the Brothers of Light and Darkness
• She tells them the truth of the Faunus, that they were a biological accident, but a beautiful one
• She warns Kassius that Umbra can be defeated, but they must be willing to sacrifice or be sacrificed
• She also tells him that the Knights Bannermen are the Congregation of Dawn, forcing them to suffer for worshipping him as a God
• Jinn shows them where they must go next, revealing the two tunnels are found at Argus and a place called Queen’s Cove
• Then the bunker gets attacked by Salem
- Kassius and his team make their escape from Vytal, losing Salem in an epic chase across the ocean and later a dangerous mountain range
- Ruby's Team find a village to stay the night and recover
- Ruby suffers more from her condition
- Blake speaks to Fury and he tells her the truth about his past, and to assure her that her parents were good people and good parents because they never made the mistakes he made
- Kassius contacts the other team to share his team's findings in the Map Room
- Corsac leaves Mazen with some Rogue White Fang to avenge Fennec by killing Yang, heading to Beacon to try and carry out his plan
- The Witches craft a suppressant that will temporarily keep the afflicted alive
- Hyde's memory of when he was banished and bonded to Kassius was shown
- Everyone arrives at their locations - Argus and Queen's Cove
- Ruby's team meet up with Saphron and Terra Cotta to start their plan on how to locate the right Activation Tower
- Kassius and co. arrive at Queen's Cove and at the Stanley Hotel to find something is wrong there
- Ruby's team learn they need to go through a Mental Asylum to get to their Tower in Argus
- Kassius' Team go to the party at the Hotel, where they learn where to locate the Towers they need to go to, but also encounter Vir Nominis Umbra
- Velvet reveals she is in love with Kassius by accident
- Umbra tortures a kills a perverted admirer who wouldn't leave Velvet alone
- Cardin explains what happened at Vacuo, revealing he saved the city by killing the Headmaster and his team wanted to kill him for a Bounty
- Cardin is also revealed to be oppressed by a Lesser Demon known as a Hym
- Starla and Weiss begin training
- Kassius starts hallucinating Vetra again
- Hyde challenges the Hym to save Cardin and kills it
- It is revealed that the Apathy are the reason behind the unnerving nature of the Stanley Hotel and Kassius' Hallucinations
- Hyde reveals he can free his form from Kassius in an awesome moment as he decimates the Apathy, saving them all as the Crooked Man before returning back to normal
- Hyde explains to Kassius and co about how the Apathy got into Queen's Cove and how he managed to tear himself free from Kassius' body
- Whitley, Kannix, Neo, Kelham and Donovan arrive with more Acolytes of Lien in Queen's Cove, and Whitley shows more signs of neural decay as he beats a soldier to death with his hands
- Starla and Weiss train at Beacon, and the Knight of Loss tells them that the Knights of Grimm are the darkness that resides in all of Team R.W.B.Y
- Ruby learns the Argus Asylum they must go through is in fact the place of which that Tyrian Callows was living in when he was a kid due to his insanity
- It is revealed that Tyrian was shunned due to a false curse about the Son of the Fractured Eclipse (when a child is born during a Fractured Eclipse and those born in the shade and not in the pockets of light due to the broken moon, they would be cursed with madness and cruelty) and due to being treated this way, they turned him into the very thing they feared
- Blake is attacked by civilians for the false footage of her killing Sienna Khan, and Penny reveals she knows about her relation to Ortega
- Kassius' team start searching for the Tower
- Yenna reveals more of her past, about her mother and the Resurgence of Dawn, Cynthia and her sacrifice and more
- Yenna finds a note from some adventurer who knew Ortega's wife, revealing they are also searching for something in Arkhonex - called the Fountain of Creation
- Corsac and Fennec's backstory revealed and how they joined the White Fang
- Cardin and Emerald locate their tower
- Qrow's team locate their tower but find it is not the one they need to find
- Mazen warns Glynda that Corsac is coming for them, so they need to be ready
- Coco and Velvet investigate their tower and find it to not be the one they are looking for, they talk about Velvet's feelings for Kassius as well
- Coco and Velvet encounter Vir Nominis Umbra after finding an ablaze apartment building, but instead of them being part of his test, Velvet asks him to help them - and after some persuasion - he decides to try, and he saves the family in seconds, meaning he could use his power for good - but for some personal reason he chooses not to
- Kassius finds his Tower to be false too, and learns that Hyde is remembering more and more every day, and as he goes to leave, Kannix ambushes him
- Cardin and Velvet find out that their tower is the right one and they unlock the tunnel, but as they go to leave Whitley calls and reveals he can listen to every conversation in the C.C.T Network
- As they go to escape, Kelham has also set up an ambush, and a battle begins
- Oscar and Ruby travel back in time to get past a blocked tower
- They find a Visionary Book and learn the full uncoloured truth of how the Knights of Grimm came to be
- Hazel and Glynda meet with the Council and learn that there is an outbreak of Horridus Morbus occurring in Patch and one infected individual is on his way to Vale and the threat of an outbreak at Vale is vastly increasing
- Ruby's team activate the Tower and open the tunnel, engaging in a battle against Acolytes of Lien
- Cardin and Emerald Vs. Kelham
- Kassius and Hyde Vs. Kannix
- Blake is wounded from an ambush between the Acolytes of Lien and the White Fang, and are tracked down by Kaa and Anto (Elite White Fang Operatives)
- Sets up Nora and Penny Vs. Kaa and Anto whilst Ren patches Blake up
- Coco and Velvet Vs Neo and Acolytes
- Qrow and co battling together, and deciding that Winter, Ozpin and the Architect must speak with Cordovin to try and convince her to lower the Defence Towers so they can get through, meaning they will need to fight Mazen and Arkaas
- Emerald and Cardin pursuit to help Kassius from Acolytes of Lien
- The Four Vs. Onyx Phantom begins and the markings of the Four first manifest
- The Four Vs. Onyx Phantom, and reveal that Oscar never had biological family, and that he was actually created
- Mazen and Arkaas Vs. Ozpin, Winter and the Architect in the Atlesian Facility
- Oscar beats the Phantom, sending it back to the Charred Forest for now
- Oscar sees the Higher Demons in their true forms, and Oscar decides he needs to know the truth
- Penny accidentally kills Anto and Kaa escapes
- Ozpin, Winter and the Architect get to Cordovin and convince her to let them past the base and into the tunnel
- Ozpin tells them all the truth about how he created Oscar with the Relic of Creation so then he would have his Time Semblance and could help battle against Vir Nominis Umbra
- They fly into the Tunnel, and head to Arkhonex
- Kassius' Team are attacked by a Squad of Wyverns in their travels but manage to get to the other side
- Ozpin explains to them all about how Ezekiel Arc let thousands die so he may live, and also tells them how he was freed from his curse and his theories on how to save the rest of the Knights of Grimm
- Ruby's team are attacked by the Shade, a terrifying Creature of Grimm that live in the darkness and are only seen as shadow people in the light
- They arrive at Arkhonex but are both shot down, Ruby's team by the awaiting Acolytes of Lien on the other side and Kassius' by Salem
- Further hints of someone secretly working against them in Ruby's team
- Ruby suffers from her PTSD further and they get captured by the Acolytes but are saved by Ortega's sniper shots
- Coco reunites with Coco after the crash
- Ortega and Penny finally meet and agree to work together to save Junior
- Corsac and the White Fang Rogues arrive at Mountain Glenn and prepare to attack Beacon to attack and kill Yang Xiao Long and the other afflicted
- Kassius wakes up, avoids a Thrall Horde, whilst injured and finds the Cox Fertility Centre, where he finds a hologram to an Arc Knight who died saving a bunch of babies from certain death, the man on the hologram was Constantine Arc
- Ruby Rose explores Arkhonex with her team for the first time
- Penny and Ortega find a creepy house that was being looked after by something and are captured by a mysterious survivor
- Penny and Ortega learn about Alvarez - the Kidnapper - and later come face to face with the Skinwalker, which brutally kills Alvarez and Ortega manages to save Penny from it nearly doing the same to her
- Velvet escapes attack from Grimm and finds Cardin, and learns that Fox and Yatsuhashi are still alive
- Pyrrha and Jaune learn about Ares Nikos and how he wiped out the Varr Skaal Faunus Tribe and Menagerie to stop the spread of Horridus Morbus, and he sacrificed himself, his whole House and thousands of innocents to buy time for Vyrryk to construct Crocea Mors for Jaune...and all this is in a Confession List by him
- Kassius wakes up healed after the crash and keeps moving towards the Cox Citadel, where the rest of his team are headed
- Coco and Emerald talk and it is revealed how Coco's team were captured by the Acolytes and Emerald apologises for what she did, and Coco forgives her
- Cardin and Velvet share a touching moment as Cardin reveals what caused him to be a bully, and how he regretted his actions towards her, and finally Velvet forgives him
- Fox and Yatsuhashi are alive and are tortured by Donovan
- It is revealed that the Horridus Morbus Pathogen has spread through a few districts of Vale, Hazel, Glynda and the Afflicted are working hard to help the people as best they can, whilst the Witches agree to make a larger amount of the suppressent potion that was made for the Afflicted, but it will be much harder, and dangerous
- Penny and Ortega have some development after they bury the bodies of Alvarez and the Arkhoni Woman that the Skinwalker devoured, and they find a power cell related to something called the Aura Destabiliser, and they agree to help Penny get back to Ruby and the others
- Returns back to the Nikos Fortress and shows Blake and Pyrrha talking about what Ares did and Blake assured Pyrrha that she does not blame her or even Ares...he did what had to be done
- Ozpin reveals that Constantine did not commit the crimes it was said he committed but instead framed himself to protect his friend who was framed by the woman who claimed his friend raped her, since he would not be killed, but his honour would be sacrificed and everyone would despise him for it
- But his friend would live so it was worth it
- Ozpin reveals that the Arc Fortress is in Salem's Sanctum
- Yang remembers a memory of when she helped Ruby with her self esteem issues and inspired her to grow out her hair, then she spoke with Patrick Greene, the man who came from patch with the Horridus Morbus Plague, and he was getting close to turning into a Thrall
- Hazel and Glynda battle against the Grimm whilst the Witches successfully complete the ritual to form enough of the Suppressant Potion for the City of Vale
- Hazel and Glynda return back to Beacon with the Witches and the Undertaker with the Suppressant, but they need volunteers to help administer the suppressants to everyone, due to the fact half of the hospital staff have been infected and bedridden
- Weiss and Neptune are getting worse too, alongside Yang and Sun
- Saphron and Terra-Cotta Arc arrive at Vale and offer to help, and Glynda calls Peach for help, and the Witches offered to help secure the perimeter, but the Branwen Tribe abandoned them
- Ruby's team arrive at the Schnee Bank, and they learn more about the Lords of Arkhonex, the history of the world and the Siege of the False King
- They learn that Fury's Treasure Trove was here the whole time, not at the Volcanic Chain Isles, and what Fury found was just an illusion to make him go berserk, and this could save him
- They find the wreckage of an Arkhoni Airship, and Ozpin tells them about then night that Arkhonex fell, and shows the full flashback of the night
- The Fall of Arkhonex is shown, alongside the moment the Knights of Grimm are controlled by the curse
- Penny and Ortega learn more about Barnes, and about each other as he tells her about why he wants the Acolytes of Lien back under his control and what the necklace around his neck was to him
- Mazen reveals he is redeeming himself for his mistakes by taking the White Fang and fighting the Acolytes of Lien head on with Ruby's team, and to help them fight Vir Nominis Umbra
- Jaune finds the next Vyrryk Visionary Book, and learns about what happened eight years after Arkhonex fell, seeing how Vyrryk, Claudia, Constantine, Ares Nikos, Cynthia Nikos and William Schnee created a little community for the survivors
- But then the Lords of Arkhonex return with Ezekiel Arc and tell them about their plan to take back Arkhonex and find Sylens Emerais, to find the information that could kill Vir Nominis Umbra
- After the Vision ends, they know the Councillor's Spire can help them locate the Embered Grove, and Sylens Emerais' last known location
- Kassius and co. reunite at the Cox Citadel, Coco finds Pyrrha's circlet and they battle against the Lord of the Wood as he ambushes them, unleashing a massive Horde of Horridus Morbus Thralls upon them all
- Coco reveals her love for Velvet, kissing her - and she then reveals herself to be the Winter Maiden, as she attacks the Horde on her own, to save her friends
- Coco's backstory is unveiled, for her Mother was the previous Winter Maiden after the last died and it went to someone random, and she inherited the Maiden, shows her little sister's death and her meeting Maria Calavera who teaches her how to fight and join the Academies and she learns how to use her powers via the Maiden's teachings
- Coco and Kassius' team destroy the Thrall Horde and the Lord of the Wood, Coco gets injured but survives
- Vale is getting worse as the Horridus Morbus plague keeps spreading and the Professor is revealed to be Watts' Uncle
- Ruby and Blake share a sweet moment before the morning comes and they search the Councillor's Spire for the Map Room, finding another Visionary Book that shows that Ezekiel Arc is not an Arc by Blood but married into it, thanks to Umbra granting his wishes, and he wanted to rule the world and live like a king, since he was always downtrodden
- They find William Schnee, Wulfwin Winks and Isabel Cox's bodies in the Library, murdered by the Higher Demons and Vir Nominis Umbra and Ezekiel for his wish
- They find the Map Room of Arkhonex, and the Architect tells them about his purpose that he was built for
- The Four, Raven and Winter head to the very top whilst the rest of them remain down at the bottom
- They look out at the beauty of Arkhonex, and it just seemed to stretch out for miles, and then they can see it after the Architect located it - the Embered Grove
- Whilst they are up there, the Architect realises something...and it was in their face the whole time...there was a change in the map, and it is revealed that the Emerais Scientists have been hiding there the whole time, and there was energy still being pumped into the facility - which meant one thing
- Someone was there - and they deduced, it had to be Merlot
- That's when they face him in a holographic form, a live feed from that facility and he speaks with them, and was relieved that they finally made it here, and he apologises for the things he has done. But he wants to make it right, they need to find him at his facility, for he has data that will help them massively, but they don't know if they can trust him, but as he speaks with them, he warns them to get the hell out of the Spire now
- It's a trap
- The Drift of Wandering Star emerges through the clouds and opens fire on them, and the Spire
- They started to climb down the Spire, when the Drift of Wandering Star suddenly revealed itself through the clouds and it opens fire on the entire tower, causing it to come apart and collapse after all these years of standing
- They get split up from the others as a huge contingent of Acolytes of Lien attack them from all sides, and Raven guides them to a certain pathway, and they keep fighting
- As they fight, Raven suddenly reveals the truth and drives her Odachi straight through Winter's back, and kills her in front of them
- She was the Mole the whole time
- She lost faith in their mission as soon as Taiyang died, and when they try and fight her, suddenly she opens a portal and Salem emerges from it with the Knights of Grimm
- Loss' eyes widen with heartbreak as she stares at Winter's body
- Salem reveals herself to be Cynthia to Oscar
- They capture the Four and Salem blasts Cinder off the edge and she falls and gets impaled on a piece of metal, it punctured her side and she stumbles, holding her side desperately as she tries to get away, bleeding out
- She collapses and passes out when Kassius' team find her, and Emerald tries to wake her up, so they take her to safety
- The Four (Ruby, Oscar, Pyrrha and Jaune) are captured by the Acolytes of Lien, and they learn that Kelham is after the Aura Destabiliser Power Cell that Penny and Ortega have so he can become unstoppable
- Ruby tells Neo the truth about Roman
- Everyone starts to head to Old Town to save them and bring down the Acolytes of Lien here and now
- Kassius and Co. save Cinder from nearly dying in the home of Rylen Vazquez, getting closer to learning how to free the Knights of Grimm from their curses, meaning they will have come back here some time
- Onto Old Town
- Penny and Ortega bond more, and Ortega finally starts to see her as his daughter and they have a touching Father/Daughter moment together
- Ortega calls in his reinforcements as the Assault on Arcturus Base begins
- Qrow's team find the Azula Estate and learn about how Ares Nikos died, and Yenna respectfully uses the roots in the ground to gently bury the fallen Spartans and Warriors, and they all pay their respects to Ares Nikos
- Starla arrives at Beacon with Winter's body and informs Weiss, Yang and everyone else about Raven's betrayal, and Weiss asks her to bury Winter overlooking the sea by Beacon Academy, and the Knights of Grimm all pay their respects honourably
- Ruby and Oscar have a flashback to when they bound their auras together when they fought a Hellhound and she feared losing him, and they promised to always stay together
- Patrick Greene turns into a Thrall and is released by Tock and Corsac, beginning a major outbreak in the Isolation Wards
- Weiss enters End Stage of the disease, choking on her own blood and suffocating in a cell as the Outbreak in the Isolation Blocks
- Hazel snaps as Corsac and Kardas and Tock arrive, Corsac drags off Yang to kill her himself and the others start beating Sun to death, until Hazel reveals his semblance by biting Tock's throat out and the taste of blood activates his Blood Rage
- Blinded by rage, he goes on a rampage to protect Yang and Sun
- Hazel decimates the White Fang Rogues and brutally kills Kardas and goes with Sun to stop Corsac from killing Yang
- The Outbreak is secured and Weiss is stabilised, but is on borrowed time
- Sun kills Corsac after being left no choice, and Hazel buries their dead, all of them, because he believes that when you bury the dead of both good and evil people, then they are better than their foes and know who they are, even when they must do monstrous things
- Hazel reveals his past and why he has never used his Blood Rage Semblance since he was a child, because he was bullied and to get out of it he bit the kid's hand, and when he tasted blood... he lost control and killed them all
- But Hazel would do anything to keep Sun safe
- Kassius, Qrow and Penny's teams get into position, Kassius' team find the Forge that created Crocea Mors, and they prepare to attack when an explosion triggers the attack entirely
- Starla uses the time she has left in control to help Ruby, Jaune, Pyrrha and Oscar escape
- Starla frees Ruby, Oscar, Jaune and Pyrrha and is the one who blew up the Fuel Tanker to help them escape, and the Battle of Arcturus Base begins
- As the battle rages, Qrow's team are pushed back by the Acolytes of Lien, whilst Ortega and Penny manage to hack into the Anti-Air Cannons to have them attack Kelham's Airforce
- Kassius, Velvet and Coco go after Donovan to save Yatsuhashi and Fox
- Mazen and the White Fang arrive at the Battle of Arcturus Base, to finally redeem themselves for how they shunned Blake over the lie that Vir Nominis Umbra crafted
- The White Fang help battle against the Acolytes of Lien whilst Kassius, Velvet and Coco are caught in a trap set by Donovan Gele to try and steal Coco's Winter Maiden Power
- Donovan begins to tell Kassius about Merlot - his father's - past with Ozpin and his Small Council (Glynda, Ironwood, Lionheart and Theodore)
- Merlot's Past, shows how he met Kassius and Cinder's mother and their relationship, his friendship and eventual downfall into madness with Ozpin

- All four teams reunite in an epic battle and nearly get decimated by the Drift of Wandering Star's Broadside Barrage, until Ortega's reinforcements - named the Acolytes of the Rose - arrive just in time to help them fight
- The Architect makes a brave charge to the Embered Grove to get the Aphax Violet and get it back to Vale through one of his portals, and it cures the Afflicted Characters
- Team R.W.B.Y are finally back together
- Shows Team R.W.B.Y fighting together once more, and the Acolytes of Lien throw everything they have left at them and the Acolytes of the Roses and the White Fang, initiating the final stand of the Acolytes of Lien
- Arkaas dies after he tries to kill Penny and Ortega
- Kelham captures Penny and Ortega, and he retrieves the Power Cell and destroys Penny's Body
- Penny is revealed to be alive by sheer luck as the bullet to her head narrowly missed her microchip, the tiny device that had Penny stored inside
- Ortega takes back control over the Drift of Wandering Star and manages to end the conflict as planned, but the source of the infestation of Grimm is revealed to be caused by an unidentified Leviathan-Class Grimm - that Ruby calls a Reaper - that was buried underground and woke up from the battle
- Team R.W.B.Y work together with Ortega and his fleet of Dreadnaughts to bring the Reaper down, but first they have to lure it away from Arcturus Base
- As the Reaper chases them, it destroyed Whitley's body, ending one out of three lives he has left
- Epic Battle against the Reaper, ending in its death and the deaths of all the Grimm in Old Town, avenging the Spartans who fought them all thousands of years ago
- Now Kelham is only enemy left
- Ozpin reveals the truth of what he did to Salem
- Kassius, Ozpin, Jaune and Pyrrha go after Mazen and Ortega to help them take down Kelham once and for all, but during their journey, Kassius gets split up from the rest of them - and Jaune, Pyrrha and Ozpin are guided by a voice that is eerily similar to that of Sylens Emerais
- Jaune, Pyrrha and Ozpin follow Sylens through the facility, finding the horrors that he created in the past - the Others, a terrifying Organic/Cybernetic Amalgamation that wanders the halls of Northern Star, and - the Rejected. The Rejected are Human/Grimm Hybrids initially designed to combat the Congregation of Dawn and the Grimm
- Mazen and Kaa find Kelham and start their battle against him
- Ortega locates the body of Barnes and concludes the side story of Barnes' Expedition Team searching for the Fountain of Creation
- Sylens brings Jaune, Pyrrha and Ozpin to a room where there is an ancient Visionary Book that details the unknown past of the stone in Salem's head... the past of the entity known as Salem, not it's host - Salem the Executioner of the Gods
- Salem's past is revealed, as a Queen of Grimm back when the Gods were alive, and that she was the ruler of the Charred Forest once, until a mysterious stranger killed her with Crocea Mors - which is revealed to be a weapon designed by the gods to kill anything that they have created, no matter how powerful
- Sylens reveals the fruits of his work, using the old strain of Horridus Morbus on dead organic tissue to create a new entity, a Grimm Human Hybrid, and he wanted to try and reproduce these creatures by turning Pyrrha into one as well, and to see if they can truly reproduce
- Sylens snaps, and they agree it is time to stop Sylens once and for all
- Mazen, Ortega and Kassius Vs Kelham
- Jaune, Pyrrha and Ozpin Vs. Sylens and his Abominations
- Both Sylens and Kelham are killed
- Kassius, Jaune, Pyrrha, Ozpin, Ortega, Mazen and Kaa find Merlot, Penny's new body is revealed, a perfect combination of Robotic and Organic, making Penny human enough so she could have children, and be like every other human
- Merlot gives them the USB Stick that has the map of where to find the Fountain of Creation when the Shivering Dominion begins, and the secret of how to kill Vir Nominis Umbra will be revealed
- Merlot destroys Northern Star and the Emerais Catacombs to destroy Sylens and his secrets once and for all, and they transfer Merlot back into his body and they help him back to the surface, where Merlot can die in peace
- Merlot proves Umbra wrong before he dies, revealing that Umbra cannot actually control the butterfly effect like he claimed, and is simply a smart man who knows how to manipulate people
- Merlot dies peacefully
- Ruby plans to attack Salem's Sanctum with their army, and all are in agreement
- Jaune and Pyrrha have sex and bind their auras together (Finally!)
- Salem is given her full power back, alongside the power of the Summer Maiden via Vir Nominis Umbra, and they prepare to defend the Sanctum against the Acolytes of the Rose
- The Acolytes of the Rose roll out to take down Salem
- Jaune finds the battleground where Vyrryk, Claudia, Constantine and Claudia fought Ezekiel, and Jaune uses Crocea Mors to see the memories of Vyrryk, and what happened here
- The Acolytes of the Rose advance towards The Heart of Rage

- Kassius comes up with a crazy plan, where Hyde needs to take control of a Leviathan to punch a hole in the massive Blockade of Grimm for their forces

- Ruby realises how to activate the Big Bad Wolf in saving Weiss from Death
- Ruby, Oscar, Jaune, Pyrrha, Cinder and Hazel get inside of Salem's Sanctum
- Ruby, Oscar, Jaune, Pyrrha, Cinder and Hazel move through the Sanctum, finding old familiar locations like Watts' lab, where Cinder was branded and Ruby's Cell, alongside finding the end to Vyrryk, Constantine, Herakles and Ezekiel's story
- They find Salem, and battle against her
- Jaune, Ruby, Pyrrha, Oscar, Cinder and Hazel Vs Salem
- Jaune is the only one left after Salem sends the others flying out the building and she nearly kills Jaune when he finally unlocks his Semblance - Ancestral Memory - and he decimates hundreds of Grimm with his newly unlocked power and understood sword
- Salem returns to the battlefield, starting the All Out War section of the battle
- Salem Vs J.N.P.R, and then 1 V 1 against Jaune atop her King Wyvern
- Jaune falls and meets up with Sun, Neptune and Oscar

- Raven arrives, and thus begins Weiss and Yang Vs Raven

- Cardin dies heroically to save Velvet from Fear, causing Kassius to snap and let Hyde go berserk
- Hyde and C.F.V.Y battle against the Knights of Grimm and the Knights retreat when the King Wyvern returns, leading to the beast's final stand as Velvet deals the killing blow, ending it once and for all
- Raven and Neo retreat after their battle, leading to Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, and R.W.B.Y to catch up with Jaune, Sun, Neptune and Oscar
- Battle of the Maidens
- Team R.W.B.Y, J.N.P.R, Sun, Neptune and Oscar VS Berseker Fury
- Fury is destroyed in the Battle, but directly afterwards, Death kills Neptune
- Neptune dies in Weiss' arms
- R.W.B.Y Vs Neo for the last time, and just as they are about to get Neo onto their side, the Whisperer finally reveals itself - as the very thing that had been haunting Ruby for years as Roman and Tyrian
- The Whisperer badly wounds Neo, and teaches the team on some very powerful knowledge, revealing the Higher Demons to be imprints of Umbra's personality after he killed the Original Salem, and that their plan is to "save" the souls in the universes from the "Decay" the gods invented that destroys all life
- He offers Ruby the chance to join them to rebuild a new universe after they destroy the "Decay" but Ruby sees straight through him, and knows that the "Decay" is just time, and that time is what makes life so important... because it is not infinite
- And that is not worth sacrificing
- The Whisperer decimates them in combat, and the Higher Demons all arrive at the battle, only for them to be interrupted by the return of Summer Rose's Ghost
- Summer Vs Higher Demons
- Kassius, Emerald and C.F.V.Y Vs Fear, and they destroy his body and send him back to the Charred Forest
- Qrow, Glynda and Hazel Vs Loss, destroying her and sending her back to the Charred Forest after she gives them a clue to how to free Death
- Ruby comes up with a plan of how to finish this battle, splitting them all up into four teams:
- R.W.B.Y, Ren, Nora, Kassius, Team C.F.V.Y, Glynda and Summer Vs the Higher Demons
- Jaune, Pyrrha, Oscar, Ozpin, Cinder, Emerald, and Hazel Vs Salem
- Kragen, The Architect, Yenna, Mazen and Kaa Vs Kannix and Grimm
- Qrow, Sun, Penny Junior, Malachite Twins and the Witches and Undertaker Vs Death
- Sun takes down Death with Neptune's weapon (Trishula)
- Nora takes down the Lord of the Wood as Qrow, Penny, Witches and Undertaker arrive to help fight the Higher Demons
- Team C.F.V.Y bring down the Onyx Phantom
- Kragen's Team send Kannix retreating but they learn how to put him down permenantly, by stabbing him with something coated in Shadow Dust
- Ozpin and Vir Nominis Umbra Chat
- Salem's Final Stand
- The Whisperer is destroyed, and Ruby is badly injured
- Salem is killed by Salem in the brutal final battle, where she throws Crocea Mors into her chest, and Salem dies with Cinder keeping her company
- The Summer Maiden's Power goes to Pyrrha, fulfilling her Destiny
- Hazel forgives Ozpin for what happened with Amber, no longer interested in Vengeance
- Mazen relinquishes the role of being High Leader and gives it to Blake
- Qrow and Summer talk, and Summer talks about the Squires of Light and what happened when she died, revealing that Vyrryk was the one who helped her become what she is now
- Ruby gets attacked by Raven, being taken by her and has to fight her alone with only a knife
- After a long and brutal fight, Ruby is left with a serious leg wound and after Qrow, Yang and Penny come to Ruby's aid, Raven is defeated, stabbed by Yang and punched into a Grimm Tar Pit, painfully consumed
- They all return home on the Drift of Wandering Star
- Blake (As the New High Leader of the White Fang) attends a War Council with Ozpin, Kragen, Mazen, Ortega and Cordovin, and they discuss their strategy of what they will do against the Oncoming Shadow, ending in this plan: Using their forces to hold off the Grimm as long as they can, whilst they get the Relics of the Embered Grove and learn how to kill Umbra, then they hunt him down and kill him - and with him, dies the Oncoming Shadow
- But many will die, and it hurts Blake to imagine just how many will die because of this cataclysm
- Ruby meets with Umbra in the Charred Forest, and is prepared for the Final Days
- Shows their message sent across the world, and the reactions of the people as they prepare across the two days
- Jacques reveals his plan to raise Atlas into the sky, and that Whitley's Deimos is finally complete, ready for his final act
- Team R.W.B.Y get new outfits and Ruby and Weiss get new haircuts
- Ozpin throws a party for everyone so they can be happy before the Shivering Dominion begins
- Story ends with the Moon Shattering at long last, and the Shivering Dominion beginning
The Knights of Grimm - Act 5 - The Oncoming Shadow - The Penultimate Act begins with the ending of the story, showing Ruby broken by a tree, covered in blood whilst some of her surviving friends are crying in the background
- Cuts a few days earlier, showing the beginning of the Shivering Dominion when the Oncoming Shadow strikes Remnant across the entire planet after Umbra gives a chilling speech to Team R.W.B.Y, Glynda and Ozpin
- The Attack kills the Local Valerian Council, including Ida Greene
- Shows everyone else still at Beacon when the Oncoming Shadow arrive, and them holding the Academy (introducing multiple new Grimm, the Nightmare and the Dreadwing)
- Jaune gets a call from his sister and goes with his team, Neo and Team AMFS (students who are like JNPR) to save her, Terra and Adrien from the Grimm
- Team R.W.B.Y, Ozpin and Glynda fight through the rooftops of Vale, witnessing the Krastax return and go to fight and clear out the Grimm attacking the Docks for evac
- The Lord of the Wood attacks Beacon
- Team J.N.P.R, Neo and A.M.F.S head to the School to find Saphron, Terra and Adrien, and after fighting many Grimm they find them, but Fear shows up and causes the kids to be frightened, causing a huge horde of Grimm to charge straight for the school
- Team R.W.B.Y, Glynda and Ozpin Vs Three Krastax (Eel, Cephalopod and Crab)
- The Krastax retreat after they deal a lot of damage to them, but they realise it was on orders of the Knights of Grimm
- Death and Loss attack, setting up their fight
- Beacon Defenders Vs The Lord of the Wood
- Kassius takes his team (Oscar, Penny and Sun) to investigate the screaming from the school and find the Hound, introducing it for the first time
- Team K.O.P.S Vs The Hound, ending with the Hound retreating
- Team J.N.P.R + Neo and Team A.M.F.S flee from the Oncoming Shadow, whilst Team A.M.F.S all die horrible gruesome deaths and they head for the only evac point left in the district, a skyscraper
- Team R.W.B.Y + Ozpin and Glynda VS Death and Loss
- Qrow, Cinder and Emerald Vs The Lord of the Wood
- Team J.N.P.R + Neo get the civilians to the Evac Point on the Skyscraper Rooftop, but are attacked by Fury and Fear, leading to an intense fight at the top, but they get the civilians aboard an Airship at the end, but all fall as the Skyscraper collapses
- Team R.W.B.Y Vs Death and Ozpin and Glynda Vs Loss, ending in them destroying both, and enters the Empress Leviathan
- Kassius' team return to Beacon when Saphron's Airship arrives, and the last of the civilians are inside the Vault, causing it to be closed behind them
- Ortega calls for the Relic Retrieval Team to get to Ruby's location to help kill the Empress Kraken, and Kassius tells Jaune to meet him and his team on the bridge
- Team J.N.P.R and Neo are revealed to be alive, and carefully move through the city, and are found by Hazel and Mazen
- They all head to the docks to regroup with everyone to get out of Vale
- Team R.W.B.Y, Ozpin, Glynda, Qrow, Emerald, Cinder, C.V.F.Y, Hazel and Mazen and White Fang Vs Empress Kraken
- Pyrrha and Neo Vs Fear + Mazen and Hazel Vs Fury earlier
- Kassius and Jaune's team drop a tanker onto the Kraken's head, causing it to go berserk and bring the bridge down over its head in the process, killing it
- Ruby calls in extraction but they have five minutes until Ortega is able to get to them, and they have another horde of Grimm coming... alongside Vir Nominis Umbra
- Everyone holds off the Grimm, and they fight Vir Nominis Umbra, nearly losing Sun and Kassius in the process, but Ortega saves them with one hell of an attack with the Drift of Wandering Star
- Ozpin and Glynda choose to help make Umbra's life harder, trying to get reinforcements, save as many as they can, and meet them with the Relic whenever they can
- Everyone leaves Vale behind as it falls, and they head for Atlas to find the Relic of Destruction and extract it
- As they make their way to Vale, everyone is recovering from watching Vale fall, from Ruby getting her team's spirits up, to Yang and Blake helping Sun get his head back in the game in a sparring match
- Ruby, Blake, Ortega, Mazen, Qrow and Penny make their plan on how to retrieve the Relic of Destruction from Atlas
- Ozpin and Glynda escape Vale, planning to find Maria Calavera, Carmine Esclados and Bertilak Celadon - after narrowly escaping Umbra
- Jaune comes up with a plan to free Nora from The Lord of the Wood's curse, by having Hyde dig through her aura and destroy the fragment binding her to the Demon - like how Pyrrha freed herself from the Onyx Phantom and how Hyde freed Cardin from the Hym
- Kassius and Yang share a touching moment
- Ruby has a dream of her past with Kassius and Yang which devolves into a nightmare with Umbra
- Ozpin and Glynda find Maria
- Ozpin and Glynda struggle to recruit Maria due to her past with Ozpin but she eventually agrees to join them, and they set out to Queen's Cove
- Ruby's team arrive at Mantle, and head down to speak with Robyn Hill
- Vir Nominis Umbra makes Kannix his Executioner, promising him to kill 3 of the heroes, and creates his plan with him, the Hound, The Knights of Grimm and the Higher Demons
- Kannix, the Hound and the Knights take a massive chunk of the Oncoming Shadow to Solitas alongside 3 Krastax to decimate the Kingdom, whilst the Higher Demons take another chunk of the Oncoming Shadow and the other 3 Krastax to ambush Ozpin's team when they get to Argus
- As Team R.W.B.Y make their arrival, a new Anti-Air Cannon - A Mass Accelerator Cannon - is revealed and it shoots down the Drift of Wandering Star, temporarily disabling it in the tundra, and they too are shot down
- When an Acolytes of Lien Dreadnaught fires on the Mantle District Team R.W.B.Y are in, they use the Metro Tunnels to escape with some civilians they saved, and use the tunnels to get to Robyn Hill
- Ozpin, Maria and Glynda fight through Queen's Cove as it falls and reach Carmine and Bertilak but are attacked by a Hydra
- Ruby's Team and Robyn come up with a plan to get through the S.D.C Facility and get into Atlas
- Ozpin's team battle the Hydra and escape Queen's Cove as it falls
- The Atlas Team take the S.D.C Facility, but after a conversation with Jacques Schnee via hologram, he activates the project, using all the dust he had collected to send Atlas afloat
- And then the Oncoming Shadow arrive
- With the Oncoming Shadow here, the heroes and the Resistance Army prepare to battle the Oncoming Shadow whilst Robyn gets the civilians to the mines once the shields fall
- RWBY advance to Schnee Manor whilst the Ace Ops battle at Atlas Academy, being stalked by something as well
- Jacques orders Whitley to activate the Deimos upgrade
- Umbra wants to talk
- Umbra offers a chance to give up the Relic of Destruction to Jaune, Pyrrha and Oscar, but they refuse, and prepare to battle against the Oncoming Shadow
- Team RWBY vs Acolytes of Lien at the Schnee Manor, ends with Whitley arriving in the Deimos MECH
- Ozpin's team fight through Argus to get to Cordovin, who they realise is alive and has saved a lot of people already, but needs help
- Ozpin and the team are faced by the Whisperer, the Onyx Phantom and the Lord of the Wood
- The Shield around Mantle shuts down from running out of Hardlight Dust after the beating it suffered from the Oncoming Shadow, and the Battle for Mantle begins

- Ace Ops Vs Acolytes of Lien at Atlas Academy, and they learn through the radio of a dead Mercenary that their Pylon Defence Teams are not responding - meaning someone or something has killed them all
- Team RWBY VS Deimos Whitley, and it ends with them destroying him, leaving Whitley with one last life
- Team RWBY return to Schnee Manor and find the Acolytes of Lien have been wiped out by the Hound who was waiting for them to return
- Ozpin's Team Vs Higher Demons, which ends with Cordovin saving them in the Colossus. They go to her base and Ozpin makes the plan to use the Relic to lure the Oncoming Shadow to him whilst Cordovin and Glynda get the civilians to Dragonspire Keep
- Battle of Mantle continues, and they retreat to the wall as the Knights of Grimm arrive. And Kassius has a crazy plan to have Hyde take control of the Eel Krastax to kill the Shark Krastax and help slow the Grimm down
- Team RWBY VS The Hound, which ends with the revelation of the Hound being none other than Raven Branwen, turned into a monster after being thrown into the Tar Pit
- The Hound retreats, but then the Shield Pylons around Atlas are destroyed, allowing the Oncoming Shadow to attack. Weiss stays behind to stop her father whilst the others get to Atlas Academy to help the Ace Ops retrieve the Relic of Destruction
- All while Vir Nominis Umbra finally makes his move
- Weiss faces her father and smartly realises he would have some kind of access key to open the Vault, and manages to get it from him after a long conversation
- Jacques tries to kill Weiss and during a targeted Shrieker attack which starts to burn down Schnee Manor, Weiss manages to kill Jacques after being injured, hanging him through the roof
- Ending Jacques' tyranny
- Ozpin's team hold off the Grimm in Argus and battle a Pharaoh (a highly evolved Taijitu, with two Cobra Heads), which ends with the Krastax arriving
- Ruby, Blake and Yang fight through Atlas to get to the Academy and when they arrive they are ambushed by Kannix and the Hound
- The Battle of Mantle rages on with them using the wall, but the Knights are attacking with Fear striking first, and Kassius takes control of the Eel Krastax and fights the Shark
- Bertilak sacrifices himself to save Maria and Carmine whilst Ozpin lures the Krastax away and when he sees the flare from the people of Argus fire, he activates the spell, destroying the city and all the Grimm inside - Krastax included
- Ozpin, Carmine and Maria survive the blast and keep moving whilst Glynda, Cordovin and the survivors of Argus head for Dragonspire Keep like planned, and Oz's team head for Mistral to get an Airship
- Ruby, Blake and Yang fight with the Ace Ops against Kannix and the Hound, but at the end the Ace Ops ditch them and go for the Relic, leaving them alone against the two enemies
- Penny finds Weiss and they split up, Penny goes for the Academy and Weiss searches for her Father's Airship so they have an escape plan
- The Battle for Mantle worsens as they fight the Knights of Grimm and the Oncoming Shadow, but as Hyde kills the Shark Krastax, Umbra makes his move, travelling in a beam of black and red lightning, killing their Krastax and the Leader of the Colossi and blowing a huge hole in the wall
- Umbra arrives at the Academy, commanding Kannix and the Hound to leave, and he prepares to fight Ruby, Blake and Yang
- Ruby, Blake, Yang and Penny Vs Vir Nominis Umbra
- He defeats them all but strangely spares them as he pursues the Ace Ops

- Oscar, Sun and Hazel Vs Fear

- Ace Ops get wiped out by Vir Nominis Umbra and he effortlessly enters the Vault
- Vir Nominis Umbra approaches the Relic of Destruction but Whitley tries to stop him, but fails as Umbra breaks free from his trap and slices Whitley in two so he could watch Atlas be destroyed and he takes the Relic
- Battle in Mantle continues
- Vir Nominis Umbra is confronted by Penny above the city and he reveals that there is no way they can convince him to stop, and Ruby tries to kill him, only to fail
- Vir Nominis Umbra uses the power of the sun to completely destroy Atlas, and send it crashing down onto Mantle, the impact causing a massive Tsunami which submerges the Kingdom
- Leaving the status of every character bar, Kassius, Cinder and Ortega unknown
- Team JNPR survive the impact but are nearly killed when they are trapped in a collapsed building and nearly drown, until one of the two surviving Colossus saves them with Kaa's help
- Oscar tries to save the Malachite Twins but they die a horrible death, drowning and ripped apart by Grimm Sharks under the rubble
- Fear Vs Mazen and Hazel
- Kassius and Cinder link up with Emerald, and whilst Cinder flies the people there to safety, Kassius and Neo get to Oscar, where they encounter an Elasmosaurus Grimm
- CFVY manage to get evacuated as a blizzard sets in
- Team RWBY awaken in the Airship, no sign of Penny, but as Grimm nearly kill Ruby - Starla Schnee saves her, and protects the team from the attacking Grimm, whilst also fighting off her Curse
- Kassius, Neo, Cinder, Oscar, Sun, Hazel, Mazen and Junior Vs Elasmosaurus and other Grimm, ending in them killing it and escaping Atlas before it is completely flooded
- Starla protects Team RWBY and Penny from the Grimm long enough for Qrow to arrive and mercifully kill her so she doesn't hurt them, and when they leave they spot Death watching, and he lets them go
- JNPR meet up with Emerald and CFVY and the rest of the survivors, and they realise the Shivering Dominion has fully begun with the massive snowstorm starting to sweep across Remnant
- As they make their way back, Kassius' group are paused by a heated argument between Oscar and Sun about what to do next, where Sun thinks they should give up, but Oscar preaches against, and ends in Sun snapping and insulting Kassius for failing to save his team (throwing his self hate for thinking he failed his team at Kassius)
- Whilst the Knights of Grimm and Higher Demons argue about Umbra wiping out Atlas, Vir Nominis Umbra suddenly spins around and senses that the enemy have made their next move (not clarifying on what the move is yet)
- Ozpin, Maria and Carmine find the Argus Limited and get it online, heading for Mistral so they can get their hands on an Airship to get to the Embered Grove as planned
- Whilst the ride continues Ozpin tells them about what he experienced when his curse was lifted
- RWBY, Penny and Qrow return to the Drift of Wandering Star, followed by touching reunions for Ruby/Oscar, Blake/Sun and Yang/Kassius
- Yang and Kassius share a tender moment together
- Ruby, Jaune and Oscar join Ortega, Qrow and Mazen at the bridge and discuss the next part of the plan: heading to Dragonspire Keep to take the Relics to the Embered Grove and find the answers
- Kragen is already prepared for the Oncoming Shadow with Yenna, showing the defences in place being made and they go to the Architect, learning he has finally fully decrypted all of Merlot's data
- Vir Nominis Umbra sends the Lord of the Wood and the Hound to attack Glynda and the Survivors of Argus, whilst the Knights of Grimm and Kannix head to the outskirts of Dragonspire Keep to prepare, and the Onyx Phantom and Whisperer will attack Ozpin
- Ruby's group reunite with Kragen, Yenna and the Architect and they are filled in on what he has learned - that Merlot and Sylens found the location of the Fountain and that it is theorised that it can only be opened by Ruby, Oscar, Jaune and Pyrrha
- Afterwards they all rest and prepare, waiting for the Relics to be fully contained
- Blake has a speech which instils some hope into the White Fang, and afterwards she talks to Sun about his argument with Kassius, and she helps him accept what happened
- Nora has a terrifying Nightmare of the Lord of the Wood killing her and turning her into another Totem, and she tells her team about it, but afterwards they overhear Kragen talking to Glynda who is under attack
- Team JNPR go to help Glynda in an Airship, who are attacked by the Lord of the Wood and a legion of Grimm
- Ozpin tells Maria and Carmine to head to Dragonspire Keep if they get split up, as that is also the plan in case Mistral is already destroyed
- They are attacked by the Onyx Phantom and the Whisperer

- Glynda and her forces hold off the Grimm and learn that the Reality Splits can be closed with explosives to destabilise them, and Team J.N.P.R arrive to help

- The Hound arrives and fights against Ren and Nora
- Maria and Carmine are thrown from the train and Ozpin fights the other two alone, fast-forwarding time so the train reaches Mistral sooner after using the Relic to show him what is at the end of the track, and revealing what he feared, that Mistral is already destroyed and the so is the bridge the track is built on
- He uses that to his advantage, and escapes to let the train destroy the two Demons, but now Dragonspire Keep is their last hope for transport to the Embered Grove
- Meaning they are forced to bring all the Relics into one place... just as Vir Nominis Umbra wants
- Jaune and Pyrrha Vs the Lord of the Wood
- Glynda and Argus Military Vs Grimm
- Nora and Ren Vs The Hound, ending in the Hound retreating after realising that they have to kill Raven to kill the beast
- Team JNPR unite and destroy the Lord of the Wood, and help bring the people of Argus and Glynda the rest of the way to Dragonspire Keep
- Maria tells Carmine the full story on how she was expelled from Beacon and her history at Dragonspire Keep, then Ozpin returns and they agree to continue to head out to Dragonspire Keep when the storm dies down
- Jaune and the Survivors of Argus arrive back at the Keep
- Ruby and Oscar get engaged
- JNPR speak with Kragen about finding a way to free Nora from her curse, and they agree to have Hyde invade her nightmare and keep the Demons busy whilst she tries to find a way out of there
- Ozpin, Maria and Carmine arrive at Dragonspire Keep
- Starla speaks with Fear, Fury and Death, slowly finding the clues as to how to break their curses
- Ozpin, Maria and Carmine reunite with Glynda and speak with Ruby and Oscar, when they learn of JNPR trying to free Nora from her curse
- Weiss and Starla meet and spar for fun, and at the end she warns them that Umbra already knows about the Keep and he is going to throw everything he has at them, and that he sensed something important, possibly someone using a Relic
- Kassius and Sun meet up whilst Kannix sneaks into the Keep, and Yang asks Kassius and Hyde to help Nora
- Nora and Hyde enter the nightmare together, but despite their efforts, they fail to lift the curse, leaving Nora marked for death
- Vir Nominis Umbra arrives at Dragonspire Keep, and has captured Weiss, Coco and Fox when making their way back
- Ruby and Umbra speak and discuss terms, where Umbra also speaks of some of his past for a few moments, but in the end Umbra tells Ruby that when the clock strikes midnight, he will extinguish the campfire, and unleash the Oncoming Shadow
- Just as Ruby leaves he asks her what they used the Relic of Creation for, making her realise that someone used it
- Ruby and Qrow confront Kragen, but he cannot tell them what he created, not from distrust, but not risking Umbra's Crows and Ravens hearing and tipping him off, but he does tell them that he was visited by the Ghost of Summer, and it was her request
- They lay the plans for the Battle of Dragonspire Keep against the Oncoming Shadow
- C.F.V.Y spend time together and with Sun, Oscar and Penny, having fun
- Qrow and Ozpin spend time together at a bar, and Qrow has a flashback of Summer when they were teens at Beacon
- Ruby and Weiss have a soft moment, alongside Ruby and Neo afterwards
- Cinder, Hazel, Emerald, Ortega, Mazen, Hyde and Glynda spend some time together reminiscing about how far they have come, and Glynda makes Cinder an Official Huntress at long last
- Yang and Kassius have sex with the hope to have a baby for the future
- JNPR spend time together before the battle
- Maria and Carmine spend some time with Kragen and Yenna
- Weiss sings for everyone
- Ruby blows Gjallarhorn when midnight strikes, and the Battle of Dragonspire Keep begins
- The Oncoming Shadow wipe out Cordovin and her forces immediately, and the battle is vicious
- Junior is also killed
- The Battle Continues, whilst the Maidens all battle against Vir Nominis Umbra in the sky, and Umbra launches a bunch of fragments of the Moon into Remnant
- During the battle, Kragen releases the Silver Eyed Warriors and they light up the night, freezing the Grimm to stone and forming a new wall to buy them more time
- They hold the Walls of Dragonspire Keep against the Oncoming Shadow
- Pyrrha cleverly has an idea, to close the Reality Tear to buy them more time until Umbra can open another one, at least now giving Unmbra limited forces for a time
- After closing the tear they are attacked by Death, and later must fight the other Knights as well
- After fighting bravely, a Blind Worm attacks and breaches through both walls, leaving Dragonspire Keep vulnerable to attack
- Ortega has his fleet fire on the Oncoming Shadow when their numbers dwindle to get the pressure off the people on the ground
- Kaa dies battling the Grimm
- Whilst Ruby recovers from a head injury, Qrow spots Kannix preparing to blow up the wall, and attacks him before he can
- Qrow Vs Kannix, and then Ruby joins when she has recovered her strength
- Maidens Vs Knights of Grimm continues
- Qrow's Bad Luck Charm causes the bomb to be detonated by accident, allowing the Grimm to surge into the Keep, and forces Ruby to flee inside the castle
- Umbra sends in the Higher Demons
- The Grimm surge into the Courtyard, decimating what was left of their forces
- The survivors get into Dragonspire Keep's Castle for the last stand
- Ruby is pursued by Grimm inside the Castle, and when Blake, Sun, Hazel and Mazen go to find her and block off that section of the castle, Mazen is killed after he sacrifices himself to buy them time and dies fighting to the very end
- Once inside they prepare for the coming battle, with RWBY using a spyglass to examine the battlefield, and JNPR preparing the Relics
- Nora begs them to not look back if the Lord of the Wood grabs her, and after a while of convincing, they agree to respect her request... no matter how much it hurts
- Ortega vows to go down with the Drift of Wandering Star and crash the vessel into the peak that Umbra opened the Reality Tears in and cut off the Oncoming Shadow's reinforcements, saying goodbye to his daughter Penny
- Kragen comes up with a dark and suicidal plan to distract Umbra and his forces while everyone else takes the Relics and escapes, where he and anyone who stays with him with give their lives and attack Umbra directly
- Yenna, Coco, Fox, Velvet, Yatsuhashi, Hazel, Carmine and Qrow are the characters who agree to stay
- Everyone says their farewells to their friends who are going to sacrifice themselves to distract Vir Nominis Umbra and Kragen gives a moral boosting speech to get the soldiers on their feet to help them against him
- They charge whilst the Extraction Team try and get the Relics out but they are surrounded by the Higher Demons, the Hound and a surge of Grimm whilst the Witches hold the Grimm back with magic
- Ortega sacrifices himself and the Drift of Wandering Star into the Reality Tears to cut the Oncoming Shadow's reinforcements
- Kragen and the heroes Vs Vir Nominis Umbra
- Umbra transforms into his False God Form
- Starla gets closer and closer to breaking her curse
- As they fight their way to the Tunnel, the Lord of the Wood catches Nora, but with the help of Starla finally managing to break her curse and being saved, she survives her destiny and escapes as the Witches sacrifice themselves to kill the Oncoming Shadow
- Vir Nominis Umbra kills Carmine, Fox, Yatsuhashi and Hazel
- Umbra is shocked that Nora survived her destiny, and Qrow nearly kills Umbra and makes him scream in agony, causing the Higher Demons (bar the Lord of the Wood) to go to his aid alongside all the Grimm to finish off Qrow, Coco, Velvet, Kragen and Yenna
- Coco and Velvet die against a swarm of Sulfur Fish, and Coco is finished off by the Onyx Phantom who takes her Winter Maiden Power
- As the survivors escape, the Undertaker sacrifices itself to ensure they escape
- Qrow and Yenna die fighting the Higher Demons and Oncoming Shadow, and the Whisperer claims the Spring Maiden Power
- Kragen is killed by the Hound but does not die the way Kannix wanted, leaving Kannix broken
- Umbra finds the Chamber empty of Relics, and smiles at the fact they won the battle, and Dragonspire Keep is destroyed
- As the three Bullheads fly to Arkhonex, everyone needs to rest, eat, drink and get their strength back, so Weiss takes everyone to a nearby safehouse, Raven's old base back in Act 2 of the series
- Kannix returns to the Charred Forest with the Lord of the Wood, leaving Starla behind
- Upon arrival, JNPR search for the Generator to get the power on, and they have a warm moment with Nora, so happy that she is still alive, and of course... shocked at the same time that she survived what seemed to be an inescapable fate
- Ozpin, Glynda, Maria and Neo search for the food and talk about the people they've lost as well
- Vir Nominis Umbra punishes the Lord of the Wood for his failure to kill Nora and anger at how he and the Knights did not even try to help him when he called for help
- Umbra tells them they must march on the Embered Grove, for they must be stopped, and has a powerful speech about how he fears dying for nothing, and that he has sacrificed everything for his goals
- Starla finally redeems after burying everyone and leaving a memoriam for them, before having a speech and fighting the Grimm that tried to stop her, then leaving Dragonspire Keep to find and help Weiss
- Everyone grieves the fallen in Raven's old HQ before they continue on their path back to Arkhonex
- Vir Nominis Umbra starts to build a new, massive Grimm to hunt them down
- Six hours later, as they approach Arkhonex they are attacked by what Umbra created, a monster known as the Nameless Titan
- Ozpin, Pyrrha, Penny and Cinder Vs The Nameless Titan, ending with them pinning it under a collapsed building
- Everyone abandons their Bullheads to make their way on foot back to the Embered Grove
- After surviving an attack from Fury they are trapped in a hallucination from the Whisperer and they still stay strong in their beliefs against the Higher Demon and win
- Blake and Yang lure Fury to the Schnee Bank and make him face his old treasure trove and allows him to finally destroy it, an act where he can vent his rage and burn out the Knight of Fury, ending his curse once and for all
- Blake and Yang reunite with the others and make their way to the Embered Grove
- But just as they arrive at Arcturus Base, Umbra triggers his trap, the Higher Demons attack Ozpin and trap him far away and lure Glynda and Maria out, then Umbra seals the others inside of a ring of fire where he, Fear, Death, the Hound and Kannix will battle against them
- Final battle of Act 5 set up
- Kassius, Oscar, Sun and Penny Vs Kannix
- RWBY Vs the Hound
- JNPR, Architect, Neo and Cinder Vs Death and Fear
- Ozpin, Glynda and Maria Vs the Higher Demons
- As Everyone, heroes and villains, converge at the same battle, Vir Nominis Umbra enters the battle
- As the battle rages on, Umbra attacks Weiss and takes her far from everyone else, where he nearly kills her until Starla arrives and saves Weiss, taking on Vir Nominis Umbra herself
- During the Final Battle, Maria and Glynda are fatally injured by the Higher Demons, forcing Ozpin to channel the power of the Knight of Vengeance once more, and using the same spell he used to destroy Argus once again, destroying the Higher Demons
- As the battle comes to a close, Vir Nominis Umbra manages to take the Relics of Creation and Choice from the heroes
- Penny and Kassius are both seriously injured, Penny by the Hound and Kassius by Kannix
- With Axzura's help, Weiss kills Raven and the Hound, and they get to the Embered Grove to save Penny from her wounds in the Healing Waters, and hopefully the same for Kassius
- During the battle, Axzura joins Starla and Hyde in holding Umbra off, but Hyde cannot join Kassius due to being a Demon and unable to get back to Kassius whilst separated
- Umbra snaps once they all make it inside, knowing they're about to learn the truth, but Kannix also made it inside, and he intends to kill them all
- Ozpin comes to, and faces off against a critically injured Whisperer, which Maria destroys with her last breath, and after she dies, he takes Glynda somewhere peaceful where she dies
- Jaune and Pyrrha take Penny down into the Healing Waters, whilst everyone fights Kannix, but Kassius is fatally injured by him, leading to Yang and Neo fighting and killing Kannix for good
- Kassius dies in Yang's arms, and they bury him by the lake that Vir Nominis Umbra said was a beautiful spot back in Act 4, and Yang places his hat on his swords, and the story ends the same way it began with Ruby covered in blood, shell shocked
- Story ends with Ozpin coming face to face with Summer, and the ghosts of Qrow, Taiyang and Kragen, revealing the arrival of the Squires of Light
