Goh's Grookey and Chloe's Eevee are given their first errand to do on their own: Delivering some supplements to the Cerise Laboratory.
- Brick Joke: Just after releasing Vanilite from its pokeball, Jessie places it on Appletun to symbolize an apple pie. They only stop holding the pose near the end of the episode when Jessie tells them "It's fine, you can stop doing that now". Both promptly collapse in both relief and exhaustion.
- Ocular Gushers: After Morpeko wakes up and eats their apple pie, Team Rocket weeps to the points that its up to their waists.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Just when it looks like Team Rocket is going to finally enjoy a treat, Morpeko ends up eating their pie.
