My Little Pony: Friends Forever #27 - Pinkie Pie and Granny Smith

As cider season begins at Sweet Apple Acres, Granny Smith falls and breaks her hip, making her unable to walk a great deal, much less help with the cider production. Pinkie Pie, since she might be an Apple, quickly comes to help to take Granny's place, but she simply doesn't have the same skill to help much. Instead, she finds that she might be able to help Granny with the routine chores on the farmstead while AJ and the other Apples make cider. Granny is very ornery at the thought of having help.
Pinkie shows up the next day, all ready to pull a cart to take Granny into town to get groceries. Granny grumps about not needing help the whole way, but by the time it's over, Pinkie's help make the trip easily and efficiently. Granny remains stubborn to having Pinkie's help, going as far as to blame Pinkie when a jar of cherries goes missing (only for Pinkie having been using it to make a pie for the Apples). Realizing that Pinkie will simply not go away, Granny gives in to her help, and is surprised when Pinkie eagerly takes interest in her stories of Ponyville's early years.
AJ gets an idea of what's going on, and tells Pinkie she must stop helping Granny. Granny is annoyed when Pinkie's not there when the Apples go with her to help at the retirement home. While AJ and the others help to serve the older ponies, Granny chats with her friends. When one of them drops a cup and she goes down to help, she is surprised when her friend nags at her and tells her to leave her alone. Granny realizes how she had been treating Pinkie and tells AJ she wants to apologize to her. Pinkie, of course, is already there, helping to serve desserts to the residents, and Granny apologizes to Pinkie, knowing she was trying to help. Pinkie readily accepts the apology, and wants to hear more stories about Ponyville's past from her.
Later, while Granny's hip is all better, Pinkie still arrives to cart her into town, with Granny ready to rattle off more tales from her past.
