The Lost Light is being chased by a giant planet made of Holomatter, and everybody - everybody -has to use their Avatars to go down and search the entire planet for Swerve. Avatars are updated for the occasion to better serve people's personalities, and Megatron dons his very first avatar.

He looks like a retired super-villain, by the way.

Additionally we are reminded that as well as a jerk and something of a joker, Swerve is also religious, giving him the potential for deeply sympathising with his patrons, and a doctor - a metallurgist, being the equivalent of a robot-cancer specialist.
