The second episode of Moonlight Mask.
Late in the night, at Professor Yanagi's place, the housekeeper announces that Professor Akaboshi has been captured by Skull Mask and Kazama has been gravely wounded. The police deliver Kazama, who tells Gorohachi that they were attacked in Shiba Park. Gorohachi sets off on his scooter to Shiba Park, but finds no trace of the professor or his captors. Searching for clues, Gorohachi meets a masked stranger, who tells him to hurry back to Yanagi's place and keep watch on Kazama. The stranger identifies himself as the emissary to the moon and ally to justice, Moonlight Mask, before disappearing as soon as he came. Back at Yanagi's place, the doctor stabilizes Kazama, and Yanagi and the doctor point that a few people have been murdered lately. Elsewhere, young Shigeru and Konomi from Iwai's place inadvertently startle the housekeeper when they peek into the house. Matsuda assures Yanagi that he will contact HQ to put more men on the streets as the housekeeper alerts him that there are strangers in the garden. Investigating, Matsuda finds the children, who explain that Gorohachi told them that Skull Mask had appeared so they have come to help. Gorohachi returns on his scooter and lightly reprimands the children, explaining that he was leaving a message for Iwai and they should not be here since bullets could start flying at any moment. As soon as he speaks, the sound of gunshots are heard and the police rush back inside, where Kazama has been shot by an unknown assassin. As he keels over, Kazama says that this wasn't their deal.
- Cliffhanger: A wounded Kazama is finished off by an unknown assailant.
- Stealth Hi/Bye: Gorohachi's first encounter with Moonlight Mask ends with this as the masked man is nowhere to be seen after Gorohachi turns his back on him for little more than a second.
- Tagalong Kid: Shigeru and Konomi literally tagalong to assist Iwai.
