Bird-like aliens come to Earth to steal "the source of all power". Max has trouble stopping them because Norman and Virgil won't stop arguing about an old battle.

- Expy: Max finds his summons this episode in the new issue of "The XYZ-Men", a parody of the X-Men, whose popularity was peaking around the time this episode came out.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: The entire episode, including Norman and Virgil solving their differences and learning better teamwork, is rendered pointless when Max finds out the aliens are stealing nuclear waste. Which he's all too happy to let them just take.
