- Establishing Character Moment: To show how stupid Jeffy is, the very first scene he's in has him trying to stick a pencil up his nose.
- Police Are Useless: Brooklyn T. Guy forces Mario to be Jeffy's caretake by the way of the "Finders Keepers" rule.
- Or Was It a Dream?: The episode ends with Mario waking up, showing that everything in the episode was just him dreaming. He then gets a knock at the door, and it's Jeffy.
- Wham Episode: Jeffy joins the show in this episode, changing Mario's life and SML as a whole as a result.
