Lady Lovely Locks plans to make a cake for Shining Glory's birthday. Shining Glory himself has just finished making a wishing bone for Prince Strongheart. In dog form, Strongheart can make a wish and tap the bone three times with his paw to grant it, but it can only be used once. Hairball advises Ravenwaves to go after Strongheart as bait for Shining Glory, and with a dragon-hair net the Comb Gnomes are able to capture the wizard. Ravenwaves plans to hold him ransom for the kingdom and a lock of Lady's hair.
Meanwhile, Strongheart plans to use the wishing bone to tell Lady the truth of his situation, but before he can finish, Maiden Fairhair reports that Ravenwaves has captured Shining Glory. Lady goes off on her own to rescue him, while Strongheart follows behind. Lady finds Shining Glory, but Ravenwaves is waiting for her with her scissors. As they struggle for control, Strongheart makes a wish for the strength to set Shining Glory free. He succeeds, and Lady traps Ravenwaves in her own net as they escape. Safe at home, Lady thanks Strongheart for the wish they needed.
