From Floors 7 to 10, Sora can choose to visit Atlantica, Neverland, the 100 Acre Wood, and Hollow Bastion in any order. This is assuming he's visiting them in the order he does in the first game.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy find themselves inside a ship, where they meet Tinker Bell. She leads them somewhere, so they decide to follow. After a while, it begins to seem like they're just going in circles, but suddenly a voice calls out to them. The voice turns out to belong to Peter Pan, who assumes them to be pirates. Donald claims that they aren't pirates, but when he tries to state the real reason they are there, he realizes he doesn't even know. Peter Pan assumes that if they don't even know the layout of the ship, they can't be pirates. He tells them that the ship, called the Jolly Roger, belongs to Captain Hook, and that his friend Wendy has been kidnapped by the pirates. Sora realizes that Tinker Bell's plan was to cause a big distraction for the pirates. Peter Pan agrees to cooperate with them, even though he insists that he could save Wendy on his own.
The group makes its way to the room where Wendy is being held. Peter Pan tells Wendy that he's there to save her so that they can go on more adventures and never grow up. Wendy says that she just wants to return to London, which angers Peter Pan. He tells her that she'll have to become an adult if she goes back, but Wendy still insists. Peter Pan angrily flies off, telling her to rescue herself. Goofy suggests that they go cause a distraction on the deck. Sora tells Wendy to stay put so she'll be safe, and Goofy says that Peter Pan might change his mind and return.
When they reach the deck, the trio finds Captain Hook waiting for them. He presumes them to be friends of Peter Pan, but they find themselves wondering if they can really call him a friend after what he did. Hook insists that they must be with Pan, and then he reveals that he has Wendy on the plank. He threatens to make her walk it if they try anything. Hook says he'd rather not kill her, since he needs her to bait Peter Pan, but he suddenly returns with Tinker Bell. He taunts Hook and flies off with Wendy, causing the captain to angrily turn and battle against him and Sora. After they defeat him, Peter Pan asks Wendy one more time if she really wants to go back to London, who affirms that she does. Pan says that his fear is that she'll forget about him when she grows up, but Wendy says she won't forget. Sora tells them that even if Wendy doesn't remember at first, that doesn't mean her memories are gone for good, but rather simply sleeping. He assures them that the memories will never truly go away. Peter Pan says that even though most people forget Neverland when they grow up, he feels that Sora and friends will be different. He decides to trust Sora's words and takes Wendy back to London, but not before Tinker Bell gives him a summon card of herself. Before they leave, a Moogle falls on top of Donald.
After making it out of Neverland, Sora finds Riku again. Riku tells him to go home, but Sora insists on saving both him and Naminé. Sora reminds him that Kairi is waiting for them back on Destiny Islands, but Riku chastises him for not being there to take her of Kairi like he asked after they closed the Door to Darkness. Riku says that he isn't going to return to Destiny Islands and that he doesn't care about any of the people there. Sora prepares to fight, but Riku stops him and asks if he remembers what his friends and family on the islands look like. Sora starts to proclaim that he does, but then he realizes that he can't remember. Riku tells him that he only forgot because of the power of Castle Oblivion. He says he's glad because the castle helped him forget the unimportant memories while remembering the only ones that actually matter. Riku says that he only cares about protecting Naminé, and that nothing else matters at all. Sora has a memory of them playing as kids and decides to fight, remembering how they used to care about each other.
Sora once again emerges victorious, but Riku says it doesn't matter because he won't remember anything besides Naminé. Sora offers to help him find her, but Riku refuses, saying that Sora always tries to infiltrate his heart. Riku runs away, but Sora is still determined to help him. Meanwhile, Naminé, who is being held captive higher in the castle, is approached by Axel, who taunts her by saying that he sympathizes with her from his heart. It is revealed that the Organization members, along with Naminé herself, are Nobodies. According to Ansem's report 13, which Sora recovered from fighting the mysterious figure in Hollow Bastion, Nobodies are the empty shells of the body and soul, created when a heart is taken by the Heartless; as such, Nobodies would seem to lack hearts, making Axel's taunt about "sympathies from his heart" hurtful to Naminé. Despite his taunting and sarcastic demeanor, Axel does seem to pity Naminé as he states that Nobodies can never hope to be real people.
Back on a lower floor, Sora is wondering why Riku is antagonizing him, since they both have the goal of helping Naminé. Donald tells Sora that he can't give up, since he's bonded with his friends. Donald names Sora and Riku, but he has now forgotten their other friend's name. Jiminy notes that their memories are being erased at a faster rate, prompting him to urge Sora to hurry before they lose them all. Sora nods, saying that nothing can separate the three friends: Sora, Riku, and Naminé...
