Runaway Rocket, Part 1

Krash and Chiko are late for Dokko's lecture on nanotechnology. After looking around, they find a rocket and decide to climb inside. Krash starts pushing all the buttons without listening to Chiko's warnings. Dokko finishes the lecture and takes his friends out into the courtyard to launch a rocket, but they see the launch unveil just as they enter the scene. Pin is horrified, as he didn't use a lot of fuel and the rocket will get stuck in the orbit.

KikoRiki gather around the table and think about how to return a rocket from space. Carlin offers to build a new one, but Pin rejects his idea because it will take too much time, and the oxygen in the departed rocket is only for five hours. Bibi decides to fly to the outer space and bring it back, but the idea is also rejected because he does not have enough power to drag a rocket on his own. Meanwhile, Dokko manages to contact the rocket and warn Krash and Chiko about the lack of oxygen.

Rosa examines the thread ball and remembers how she almost lost the balloon but pulled it back by the rope once, suggesting something similar for the rocket. Her idea is rejected at first, because they don't have such a long rope, especially since it will break under its own weight. Pin and Dokko decide to make a very light and durable new rope, and Bibi will tie it to the rocket.

Runaway Rocket, Part 2

Dokko and Pin are trying to find a source of their strong rope. Dokko suggests finding an analogy in nature. The most durable substance in nature is diamond. Hexagons lie in the structure of the carbon atom in a diamond; this is the durablest connection, so you need to make a rope out of them. But the extreme atoms have only two bonds, so such a construction will be fragile. Rosa and Wally offer to roll them into a tube and braid them into a pigtail. Dokko and Pin understand that such a construction will indeed be much durabler.

Meanwhile, heavy rain begins to fall outside, and if the rope gets wet, it will be too heavy. Barry remembers that the cabbages in his garden is always dry and clean after the rain. Dokko examines a cabbage leaf in a microscope and discovers pimples that don't allow water to spread over cabbages. He decides to make the same pimples for the rope. Meanwhile, in the rocket, Krash and Chiko begin to suffer from a lack of oxygen. Bibi climbs into orbit with a finished rope and almost reaches the rocket, but Krash hits the gas pedal, which causes the rocket to fly further away. Bibi moves towards the rocket, which causes Iron Nanny holding the rope to be lifted off the ground, but KikoRiki cling to her and Bibi manages to hook the rope to the rocket.

Krash, Chiko, and Bibi sit on a rocket floating on the surface of the sea and look at the stars. Their friends sail to them on a ship to pick them up.

Tropes:

  • Accidental Astronaut: Krash and Chiko accidentally send themselves into space while checking out Pin's rocket.
  • Almost Out of Oxygen: There is only five hours of oxygen in the rocket and by the end of the second part Krash and Chiko almost run out of it.
  • Big Red Button: Krash launches the rocket by pressing a large red button on the dashboard.
  • Poorly Disguised Pilot: This was a pilot to the PinCode spin-off, which, however, the creators didn't really hide in original Russian and Ukrainian versions, as it says so in the new theme song made specifically for this episode.
  • Stargazing Scene: In the finale of the second part, Krash, Chiko and Bibi look at the stars together.
  • Tempting Fate: Krash claims that he will not be able to accidentally launch a rocket. He proves himself wrong just a few seconds later.
