Armor-Piercing Response: When Kenji shares with Mae how he feels his father's affection for him rides on how he helps him win over Dodson as a client, Mae points out he shouldn't have to make money to earn his father's love. This is enough that Kenji later admit to Mae in secret that he agrees.
Everybody Has Standards: Kenji has crossed a few lines, allowing a few dinosaurs here and there to be mind-controlled, and even controlling Toro. But despite he's cut ties with the Camp Fam, Kenji would rather his father not mind-control Bumpy, given the sentimental value she holds.
Embarrassing Nickname: Played with. Bumby isn't visibly embarrassed to hear herself being called "Bumber Car" by Kenji. Other way around, he's self-conscious about using the nickname in front of his father and the company he keeps.
Language Equals Thought: After changing the password, Brooklynn refers the enemies as the Kons, meaning she now has treated Kenji as an equal enemy.
