Recap / Jane the Virgin - "Chapter Thirteen"

Go To

Jane and Rafael are eager to know the baby's sex, but during a routine ultrasound, they experience medical problems and fears about complications that might set in which unsettles both of them. When Jane is put on bed rest for 48 hours, she realizes that she may have to miss her college graduation. Meanwhile, Alba keeps quiet about something she is humiliated to talk about to her daughter, Xo: that Alba has developed a crush on a fellow man in her physical therapy class. Rogelio decides to start looking for a new acting job, but his ego and picky choices get in the way. Elsewhere, Michael believes he has found out who Sin Rostro is, but he must capture him before he flees. Investigating the missing Emilio's whereabouts and about his overseas money transfers, Michael and Nadine realize that from the various clues including Luisa's letter, the hotel's construction permits, an interrogation of Emilio's mistress to his whereabouts during the two murders, and the dying words of the bellhop (whose dying words "Sin Rosetro" were actually meant to identify the person standing over him at the time as Rose Solano) they thereby finally discover the real identity of Sin Rostro. Also, Petra is torn between which two men in her life to be with; the charming but scheming Lachlan, and the ill-tempered and equally scheming Milos.

Tropes:

  • Buy Them Off: Milos buys 1/3 of the Marbella to win back Petra. There are strings attached.
  • The Reveal: The episode ends on Rafael meeting Roman Zazo, who was murdered in Chapter Two. We later learn the dead man was Roman's secret twin Aaron.
