First, the manga does a brief introduction to Isumi's family, who are all even duller than she is. Isumi suddenly loses her powers, and her mother introduces a prophecy: Hayate's blood, when he's cornered and pushed to his limits, will restore them. Afterwards, it is revealed that a meteorite hit in Shimoda recently, and since then the hot springs have been producing mysterious effects that conveniently give each of Hinagiku, Isumi, Ayumu, and Nagi incentives to visit. On the way there, Nagi gets lost after leaving the train, and is picked up by Ayumu, who is trying to get there by bike.
Once they arrive, they find that the advertised effects of the springs didn't manifest, although it still has pronounced psychological effects on Nagi alone. Also introduced is Nagi's late mother Yukariko Sanzenin. Chapters included:
