- When the jury deems Harvey "not-guilty", Mentok decides to overrule their verdict and sends him to prison simply because he doesn't agree. While a judge can overrule a jury's verdict if they rule "guilty" without sufficient evidence or if there's a clerical error (this being call a "judicial acquittal"), a judge cannot do so for a "not-guilty" verdict in any state, much less out of personal opinion.
- To say that the whole trial and sentence being one giant prank at Harvey's expense being illegal would be putting it lightly. They'd be lucky if everyone involved wouldn't be disbarred and/or arrested for it, with Harvey being compensated for damages.
- Kangaroo Court: Even when Harvey is ruled "not-guilty", he's still sent to prison for 5 years and put on death row for a crime he didn't commit. The fact that they whole thing was a prank doesn't make it any less inappropriate.
