Eva Krugman is an assassin of considerable skill, one who is capable of killing her targets in such a way that most people wouldn't even realize it was the work of a professional hitwoman. On one such occasion, she terminates her target, a high-ranking mafioso, on an airline flight with a precise prick in the spinal cord with a sharp needle, making it appear as though he simply suddenly keeled over and died. Unfortunately for her, karma would catch up to her when one mob family decides to take her out, and when it comes to this target, they will settle for nothing less than the best...
After collecting her payment, Eva takes time off at a casino, when her eyes meet with a man whose name she never got, nor to whom she gave her name, over three years ago: a tall, muscular Asian man known to most as Duke Togo. The two reminisce about their chance meeting on a cruise ship that was the target of a terrorist bomber who left behind an explosive device on the ship. When the other passengers learn of a bomb threat, pandemonium erupts as the frightened masses rush for the life boats, even though the choppy seas outside made any attempt at escape perilous. The crew manage to find the bomb, after which Togo offers to defuse it. Eva watches intently as Togo works on the bomb, and after nearly ten tense minutes, meets with success. With the bomb defused, the ship crew rescue the passengers from the rough seas while Togo and Eva set off explosions of another sort in the bedroom...
Back in the present, Eva and Togo finish reminiscing after yet another romp under the sheets. Eva marvels at how chance brought them back together after three years, only for Togo to state that it wasn't chance that reunited them. He says his farewells to her, calling her by name, as he departs. It is at that moment that Eva realizes the man she met three years ago — the man she fell in love with — was Golgo 13, and that she was his next target.
Rather than fight against the inevitable, Eva takes time to set her affairs in order, bidding farewell to her employer and returning to her hometown one final time to see her family and friends. As the sun sets over the horizon, Eva takes a boat out to sea, smiling without a care in the world until Golgo's bullet finds her...
- Face Death with Dignity: Once Eva realizes she is Golgo's next target, she accepts her fate: as a fellow assassin, she knows that Golgo will kill her. Thus, she uses what time she has remaining to set her affairs in order.
