Chase and the gang enter a Glutton-sponsored Foodon tournament held on the S.S. Foodfight, but Chase's ego has inflated from his victories against Clawdia. Clawdia herself is watching the proceedings, as is a blond-haired boy named Albert.
Chase's fried rice is the only dish to pass the entrance exam, and he earns himself a spot in the tournament—and a spot as a Glutton Gormandizer. Naturally, Chase refuses, and battles Mussels Marinara in a a Foodon fight after he attacks Pie Tin. Shrimp Stompura proves to be a tough customer, but after a tough fight, Chase wins. Only Albert is unimpressed, and he riles Chase up before serving up delicious dishes of his own. Albert wins their practice Foodon battle thanks to a spinach shield Power Topping, but Chase refuses to give up yet.
