Yang, Blake, Cleopatra, and Nitocris are in Team RWBY's room in Beacon Academy. Yang orders food. Blake and Nitocris glare at each other because they are a cat and dog. The rest of RWBY and Mordred couldn't make it to their girl's night out. Cleo says she invited Tomoe Gozen, but she wanted to duel some "blue-haired dork" in video games. Yang asks where Sun Wukong is, and Blake says Velvet told her he decided to travel with his aunt and reevaluate his life. Nitocris says she invited Suzuka Gozen, but she decided to hang out with Coco Adel. The delivery person arrives with their noodles, but she turns out to be Miyamoto Musashi.
Cleo and Nitocris comment that she had been gone for so long and ask what she is doing here. She says it's a long story. Yang pays her and she starts to walk away, but Cleo asks why she's wearing an eyepatch. She say's it's also a long story, but Yang says she can share their noodles if she tells them.
One day, Musashi made a delivery to Junior's Club. While there, she overheard a conversation saying that after Roman Torchwick abandoned Vale, a high leader of the White Fang arrived and was planning to load a train with bombs and blow up an old subway to let the Grimm invade Vale. She decided to stop them herself.
Musashi traveled to Mountain Glenn, where she found White Fang members loading Dust bombs onto a train. She gave them a chance to walk away, but they didn't take it. A huge lieutenant wielding a chainsaw attacked her while the others opened fire. She drew her two katanas and and made short work of them, as well a Paladin mech. Their leader, Adam Taurus, walked up and demanded to know what someone from Apocrypha was doing here. She says she found out about their plan and decided to stop them to prevent unnecessary loss of life. He said killing his men will bring about an even greater war, but she told him to look again because she didn't kill anybody; they're just beaten up. Adam tells the members who can walk to take their wounded and go. As they do so, one member tried to shoot Musashi in the back, but Adam stopped her and she grudgingly left. Surprised, Musashi pointed out she thought the White Fang didn't care about human lives. He said he doesn't, but he wanted to kill her himself.
They clashed; Musashi's two katanas vs Adam's red Chokuto (Japanese straight sword) Wilt and rifle Blush. She managed to tackle him to the ground and straddle his chest with her swords in an X over his neck, telling him to surrender. Instead, he knocked her away with Blush, then straddled her and tried to decapitate her, with her barely holding Wilt off with one sword. She managed to punch him and knock him back. His mask broke, and she was shocked to find that his left eye was branded shut with a serial number on it. Adam angrily said he doesn't want her pity.
Musashi chanted, "Namu, Tenman Daijizai Tenjin". A pillar of white light surrounded by a rainbow erupted from her body, then the upper body of a four-armed giant wielding four swords appeared to Adam's shock. She declared, "Nioh Kurikara! Shoutenshou!" The giant swung a yellow, blue, red, and green sword. Adam dodged each swing, but each swing destroyed parts of the train until there was nothing left. Musashi then declared, "Come hither, my roaring sword, now unsheathed! Ishana, Daitenshou!" Her katana turned into an enormous white one and she brought it down, reducing the entire area to rubble.
The giant disappeared and Musashi's sword returned to normal. Thinking Adam was dead, she turned to go, but Adam emerged from the rubble. Musashi gave him one last chance to stand down, but he declared he would kill her. He spawned four clones that glow yellow, blue, red, and green and thanked her for the energy he was able to absorb. They attacked and she fended them off, slaying the clones one by one but taking a few slashes in return. When the clones have been eliminated, Musashi was coughing up blood and Adam was exhausted. They charged at each other for for final attack. After the Single-Stroke Battle, Musashi fell to her knees screaming as her right eye had been slashed out. Adam smirked, but collapsed as his chest had been slashed. Afterwards, she called the military and left just as they arrived and arrested him.
As Musashi finishes her story, Blake is slightly saddened, since Adam was her ex-boyfriend, while Yang, Cleo, and Nitocris are happy at Musashi's accomplishment and upset about her missing eye. Musashi says she can live with it, but she has one more delivery. Before she leaves, she embarrasses Cleo by talking about a time she flirted with a man online, but when they met in person, he turned out to be super fat. Cleo yells she had promised to never tell that story to anyone. After laughing, Yang asks Blake if she's okay, and she says she's just glad no one was killed.
Musashi enters a prison on board an Atlas airship. After being inspected, she walks down a hall and sees two soldiers with blood on their knuckles. She enters a cell where Adam, now in a prison uniform, is chained to the floor. His face is bloody as he had just been beaten up. He asks what she wants, and she puts down a bowl of noodles. She says he should eat something, as he's becoming thinner. He says he doesn't want her pity, but she says she doesn't care. He says a human could never understand him. All his life, he was hated for being different. She says all her life, her parents hated her because she wasn't born a boy. "We don't get to choose what we're born into this life as, but we do get to choose what we do with this life." She leaves the room, then a guard comes in, ready to use Adam as a punching bag again. He grabs Adam by the bull horn and taunts him, but Adam punches him in the nuts, headbutts him, and throws him into the wall, knocking him out. Realizing after what he's just done, his food will be cut again, he eats the noodles and admits they are pretty good. Outside, Musashi smiles in approval and leaves.
