As Kiritsugu continues to drive the jeep, Arturia wakes up asks where is Diarmuid. He says he sacrificed himself so they could escape, making her shed tears. He groans when he notices they are almost out of fuel. Arturia warns him to look out, and he looks up and sees a car about to hit them. He tries to avoid it, but it hits them. Both vehicles come to a stop and the jeep's airbags deploy.
The other car was driven by Irisviel, who is happy to see them and is oblivious to the fact she just had an accident. Also in the car are Ishtar and Cinder, who are traumatized by her reckless driving. Irisviel greets Arturia and heals her injuries. Irisviel then tells them that Shirou is in danger and they need to save him. Kiritsugu agrees, but makes her give him the keys. Since the car can only hold five people, he tells Arturia to stay behind and asks her to loan him Avalon. Sadly, she can't give it to him because it is keeping her alive. Irisviel calls Chaldea so someone can pick Arturia up, then they drive off in the car.
Ishtar tells Cinder she knows BB was a robot, then says she's not stupid and she knows Neo murdered her on Cinder's orders. She demands to know why. Kiritsugu and Irisviel listen, but don't say anything. Cinder says Archer's obsession with BB and associating her with Sakura was unhealthy, so she did it to help him move on. Ishtar becomes sad to hear this, especially since she was also associating BB with Sakura.
They find Shirou unconscious in a force field, guarded by Archer Alter. Kiritsugu quickly explains Alters to them, then pulls out his backup Contender from the glove compartment. He tells the girls to free Shirou while he takes him on. The girls run to the force field while Kiritsugu faces Archer Alter. Kiritsugu's plan is to attack before his opponent can use Kanshou and Bakuya, since regular Shirou can dodge bullets unless they are point blank. He uses Time Alter-Double Accel to double his reaction time and rush him, but he is shocked when instead of summoning Kanshou and Bakuya as swords, he summons two handguns with Kanshou and Bakuya modified into bayonets for them. Kiritsugu dodges his bullets several times and manages to get next to him, then they shoot each other at the same time and they both fall.
Irisviel screams and runs to her husband despite him warning her to stay back. Archer Alter shoots her in the knee. Ishtar and Cinder tend to her as Archer Alter gets up. Yellow cracks radiate from his bullet wound, but he is fine, to Kiritsugu's shock. Archer Alter says his Origin Bullet cannot kill him because he has no Origin, he's a nameless being who only exists to kill. Irisviel calls him Shirou and pleads for him to stop. Enraged, he says that is not his name and tries to shoot her again, but Ishtar blocks the bullets with her bow. With Kiritsugu and Irisviel both injured, Ishtar and Cinder stand against him. Cinder does not have a lot of Dust left, so she creates a short sword.
They charge him from different directions, so he fires his guns at both of them. Ishtar destroys the Bakuya gun with a shot from her bow, but he nonchalantly throws the blade at her and it stabs her in the thigh, making her fall over. He parries Cinder's strike with his Kanshou gun, but she makes her sword become red hot and it melts through the blade. He kicks her away and says he remembers the conversation she and Shirou had where she wanted to learn about Reality Marbles. He loads a bullet into his gun and says she can have his. He chants, "I am the bone of my sword." and glows purple and red. Everyone is paralyzed with fear as he continues, "So as I prey, Unlimited Lost Works!" He shoots Cinder in the gut. She screams in utter agony as dozens of swords rip their way out of her body. Everyone looks on in horror, including Shirou, who woke up but is still trapped in the force field.
Cinder hears Salem's voice, who says it looks like Cinder's story is over... if she were not the Fall Maiden. Cinder suddenly unleashes a massive wave of fire that destroys the swords and cauterizes her wounds. She launches herself at Archer Alter and destroys his remaining gun before slashing him. He summons a new set and combines them into a double ended lance, but she knocks him into the sky and flies after him. Irisviel starts healing the others.
As they clash in the sky, Archer Alter asks what Cinder's power is, but she says it doesn't matter except that it is hers. She burns away his weapon, then his hand. She says he is nothing like Shirou, because he would never hurt those he cares about. She stabs him through the head and detonates the sword, obliterating him. Completely spent, Cinder starts falling out of the sky. She laments that destiny is cruel because she just unlocked her full power and now it's going to go to someone else when she dies. Fortunately, Shirou had been freed from the force field and catches her in his arms. She smiles and says, "My hero."
