Team RWBY meets at a table, commenting that since this trip started, they haven't had a chance to get together. Blake tells Ruby she still doesn't want to meet Lobo, but Ruby says she wanted to chat about their experiences. Yang says she went on an adventure yesterday with Mordred, Nobunaga, and Gilgamesh, whom she started dating. Weiss tells her to be careful because Pyrrha and a lot of other people hate him. Blake sadly says she hasn't been progressing in her training with Chiron. Weiss says Semiramis has taught her how to use her Glyphs more efficiently and to minimize her Dust usage in battle, but she hasn't had much luck in learning how to summon. Ruby says she developed a Reality Marble. Weiss briefly explains the concept to Yang and Blake.

Ruby explains how her Reality Marble is a white void that has dopplegangers of people whom others have lost, including her mother. She says it is a big responsibility who she shows it to, as she learned that not everybody reacts positively to it. The rest of her team smiles and Weiss says she would like to meet Ruby's mother, and Yang says their dad would probably like to as well. Ruby says she would like to show them right now, but she just ate and doesn't want to risk throwing up again. Blake asks if she can bring the dopplegangers into the real world. Ruby says she is not sure, as so far, the only being she can comfortably bring in and out of the Reality Marble is Lobo. She absentmindedly summons Lobo, which makes Blake have a panic attack due to being in the presence of a dog. Weiss and Yang point out Blake warned them that would happen.

Cinder returns to the Einzbern castle and notices Kiritsugu leaving. Irisviel meets her and says he's on a mission. Cinder asks about his Reality Marble and Iri says all she knows is that it puts a lot of stress on his body. She says Illya and Chloe are studying but she doesn't know where Archer is. They split up to look for him, and Cinder finds him in the rooftop garden, looking at Sakura's video files. Cinder looks at the date and realizes this was the last video Sakura made before her death. Sakura says her team is going on a mission soon, and she has decided on this day to finally confess her feelings for Shirou. Archer gets really depressed and Cinder asks him why he is torturing himself. He says he's a failure and he should have been the one who died that day, not her. Now she haunts him everywhere he goes, especially whenever he sees BB.

Cinder confides that she grew up in Mistral. Her mother owned a clothing store, her father was a cobbler, and they both taught her a bit of their trade. One day, some Grimm invaded and a Beowolf attacked them. Her parents were not fighters; her father got his arm crippled and her mother lost an eye. They were helpless and she thought they were going to die. Then a Huntress with silver eyes arrived and killed it in an instant. Ever since that day, she vowed to become powerful so that she would never be helpless like that again. Her parents still run their shop as best as they can and she sends them money once in a while. The point is that everyone has tragedies, and the best they can do is move on and become stronger. She says he didn't fail Sakura, and she would have wanted him to be happy. He thanks her and she walks away, then runs into Irisviel, Illya, and Chloe, who were eavesdropping. Chloe comments now they know why Cinder is good at sewing. Iri asks if she thinks Archer will be okay, and Cinder says she is not sure, but she hopes she got through to him. As Cinder and Iri leave, Illya reminds Chloe that she lost their bet, so Chloe reluctantly agrees to do her homework for her. Chloe sighs and says she really thought Cinder was going to kiss him.

In Jack the Ripper's apartment, Mercury flashes back to his father Marcus cruelly stomping on his legs, crushing them. He angrily declared to his father that he would kill him, then he starts saying it in the present. Jack walks up and asks what he is saying, so he confesses he was having a bad dream. He then says he learned that one of his past enemies is back, so he has to leave before he takes anything else from him. He shows her his legs are artificial, horrifying her, and says he is afraid his enemy will take away Jack, Nursery Rhyme, and Atalanta, whom he admits are all his friends. Jack begs him not to go, and he says he can't protect them, but Jack declares that she will protect him because he is family, shocking him. He admits that the time he spent with them is the happiest he has ever been. He swears that he will do everything he can to keep them together and they hug. Outside, Ushiwakamaru was eavesdropping and cries. She deduces the enemy Mercury was talking about was Marcus. She walks away and swears that if he shows up, she will make him pay and that she will protect Mercury.
