Go To

Jaune, Jeanne, Yang, and Blake are in the cafeteria. Jaune says he doesn't approve of Jeanne dating Edmond, while an annoyed Jeanne says nothing happened. Blake asks what his problem is, and Jaune says he heard the stories that Edmond used to be in prison and says he's bad news. Jeanne says she's older than him and he should mind his own business, then leaves. Jaune turns to Blake and says he guesses it's true: girls like bad boys. She asks why he emphasized her when he said that. Yang laughs and says Blake has had moments with Sun Wukong and Achilles, and asks if there were any others. For a moment, Blake thinks of Adam Taurus, but says Sun and Achilles aren't like that. Yang asks when was the last time she talked with Sun. Blake says she hasn't been able to contact him in days, and is worried he might do something reckless. Yang says she has her back, then advises Jaune to let his sister do her own thing. She then advises him to find love, but he should ask someone out in a normal way, not his zany schemes to ask out Weiss that always fail. He reluctantly says he'll try it and leaves for his next class.

Pyrrha recovers and walks with Mash, but realizes she doesn't have her mini lance. Just as they start to panic, they remember they gave it to Nora. Nora and Frankenstein walk out of Moriarty's math class and Nora proudly holds up her B-. Pyrrha and Mash run up and ask if she has the lance. Nora pulls it out of her pocket and says she tried to bend it several times, but she wasn't strong enough. She holds it between her thumb and forefinger and moves it up and down really fast to create an illusion of it bending. Pyrrha looks at this and is struck with inspiration. She calls Nora a genius and takes the lance. She runs away saying she needs to practice.

One week later, Glynda and Vlad watch as Ruby and Elizabeth spar. Since Siegfried's condition is being kept secret, Vlad says he went on a vacation. Glynda says all the students are showing improvement, but some more than others. Lobo chases Tamamo around, trying to bite her tail. Lobo summons a scythe with a double curving blade that he wields in his mouth. Ruby is happy he managed to summon Violet Gibbous. Tamamo tries to warn him he will suffer if he hurts her, but he continues chasing her.

Pyrrha runs up and says she succeeded in bending the lance. She pulls it out, but it is still straight. At their confused reactions, she explains she bent it back after she bent it the first time. Vlad tells her to prove it, so Pyrrha summons her new spear, which resembles Gae Bolg, but is double ended and has red and blue gems on each end. Ruby and Elizabeth stop their spar and Ruby excitedly asks about the new weapon. Pyrrha explains that Scathach reforged her old spear into this divine weapon, Gae Akuno, and the blue gems are cobalt, which is very magnetic and helps her focus her power. Vlad tells her to stop stalling, so Pyrrha channels her Aura through Gae Akuno, then the mini lance gets surrounded by Aura. The gems on Gae Akuno start blinking. Pyrrha starts sweating, but the mini lance slowly bends until it is a circle.

Ruby asks how she did it. Pyrrha explains that she finally realized she can surround something with her Aura to create a magnetic field. First she channels it through Gae Akuno so it can affect things with Divinity. Next, she uses Gae Akuno as a giant magnet and rapidly switches the north and south poles to increase the strength and create force. Gold may not be magnetic, but she surrounded it with her Aura and used her Semblance on the Aura to affect it. Everyone congratulates her, but Vlad tells her not to get complacent. They will continue to train until she reaches even higher levels of mastery. She promises to improve even more.

Tamamo screams for someone to save her. She's still running from Lobo and is on her last legs. Glynda comments she advised her to wear more practical footwear than her platform sandals, but she didn't listen, yet she's still a good runner. Ruby tells Lobo to stop, but he doesn't listen. Vlad and Glynda say they should probably save Tamamo and rush over. Pyrrha puts the now circular lance around her right wrist like a bangle. Elizabeth says it looks good, then the three girls run over to help Tamamo.

From a distance, Mash watches Pyrrha's accomplishment with pride. Jaune walks up and asks what is going on, so she explains what Pyrrha did. He nervously asks if she would like to go on a date with him after class. She is taken aback and blushes, but smiles and says she would like to. They go their separate ways.
