Around three days later, Ruby happily rides on Lobo's back through the plains of Apocrypha. They stop and she asks if the beartraps on his limbs hurt him, but he claims they don't. Astolfo and Weiss come in on Hippogriff and Weiss scolds her for wandering off, but Astolfo says they have been training for three days, so they deserve to have a little fun. Ruby points out after all that running, Lobo isn't even breathing hard. She thanks everyone who gave her Riding advice, and thanks Paul Bunyan for her delicious pancakes.

Yang and Martha walk up, and Yang's eyes turn red when she sees Astolfo. He gets scared and quickly leaves on Hippogriff. Ruby and Yang hug and Ruby asks where is Blake. Yang says Blake was planning to meet them, but when Lobo was described, Blake got scared and excused herself. Yang pets Lobo, then shocks everyone by picking up the massive wolf and cradling him like a baby. She says she's been training with Martha and has become even stronger. Martha says she is a good student and has spoken highly of Ruby. Martha says she used to be a Rider before changing to a Ruler. Ruby asks what happened to her mount. Martha explains if a Rider changes their Class, they can still call their mount, but it is slightly harder. Her mount is called Tarrasque, but he doesn't like to be summoned unless it is important. She tells Yang it is time to resume their training. Yang puts Lobo down and tells him to watch over Ruby. They walk away, while Ruby and Weiss walk back to the school.

At the Einzbern castle's roof garden, Irisviel and Cinder sit together. Irisviel plucks one of her hairs and turns it into a dove. Cinder plucks one of her hairs and turns it into a raven. Irisviel congratulates her on progressing so far. Cinder says she is a fast learner. Archer and Chloe have taught her much about Tracing. She summons a sword and uses Reinforcement to make it more durable. Irisviel chuckles and says she's glad her family was a great help to her. They decide to get lunch and make the sword and birds disappear. As they walk, Irisviel notices Cinder looks irritated, so she explains she didn't have much progress in developing a Reality Marble. Irisviel says her husband has a variation on a Reality Marble and he could probably teach her, but Cinder says she wouldn't want to bother him as he is a busy man. Cinder asks if Irisviel could ask her husband about it and relay the info back to her, but leave Archer out of the conversation. Irisviel says she would like that; it will be their little secret from the boys, as she loves their girl talks.

Just as they reach the dining area, the doorbell rings and Archer goes to answer it. Irisviel tells him she just remembered a transfer student was coming today, his old teammate. Confused, he opens the door to find Rin Tohsaka. While she still has twintails, she wears a crown and a revealing white outfit, with a lot of jewelry, a single black sleeve on her left arm, and a single blue stocking on her right leg. Surprised, she calls him Shirou and says he has changed a lot, but he abruptly slams the door in her face. He tells his mother she should have warned him Rin was coming sooner, as they didn't part on the best of terms, but Irisviel points out it was rude to close the door in Rin's face. Rin fires a blast that blows the door off its hinges and knocks Archer down. Rin says she changed her name to Ishtar. She greets Irisviel and asks who Cinder is, so she introduces herself. When she says she is Archer's roommate, Ishtar says she thought Shirou would have gotten past his hangups about his past by now, but he still refuses to use his name. He calls her Rin, but she summons an enormous bow with an energy arrow and tells him to call her Ishtar, not Rin. He tells her she has no room to complain about him not using his original name then.

As Archer starts fixing the door, Ishtar comments she thought his personality would have changed, as his appearance has changed so much she almost didn't recognize him. He comments she looks like she hasn't aged a day in seven years. She says she has mastered a lot of new magic, including one that slows the aging process. Cinder asks if she can possibly learn that, but Ishtar says she came back to learn, not to teach. Besides, with Cinder's appearance, it's unlikely it would help. Cinder gets pissed and the girls glare at each other. Irisviel says Archer just prepared lunch and asks if Ishtar would like to join them. She agrees, as she remembers how good his cooking is. The girls walk away and promise to save Archer a plate, with Cinder and Ishtar trading barbs. Archer sighs, but smiles and is happy his old friend is back.

Cu Chulainn spars with Nora. He parries her plasma blade and comments she is swinging it like a hammer instead of a sword. She says old habits die hard, and she only needs to get one good hit in to pass. Fran, Mash, and Pyrrha are watching the fight, but Pyrrha is reading Mash's textbook on polarity. She holds up the mini lance and says she still can't bend it, but she is getting closer. Cu Chulainn sees the lance and gets distracted. Fran calls out to Nora, and she activates a feature of the Skewered Plasma Blade that turns it into a pincer. It grabs Cu Chulainn and electrocutes him. He complains for attacking him while he was distracted, but admits she won.

He asks Pyrrha who gave her that lance and she answers Vlad. He explains it was made by Scathach, another teacher. Nora asks why they haven't seen her, and he explains she only teaches those with Divinity or a divine weapon. She taught him when he was a student and gave him Gae Bolg. Pyrrha asks if they can meet her to get advice on how to bend the lance, but he says the lance is impossible to bend without Divinity or possessing a divine weapon, both qualities Pyrrha lacks. Mash suggests convincing Scathach to give Pyrrha a divine weapon or enhance her existing ones with a divine rune. He says that could work, but Pyrrha will have to prove herself to Scathach to get her help. He starts to lead them to her.
