Ruby wakes up in the infirmary with bandages around her forehead, gasping for air and panicked. Astolfo, who is back in his causal clothes with bandages around his chest, tells her everything is fine. She asks what happened, and he says she manifested a Reality Marble. She doesn't know what that means, so he explains that a Reality Marble is summoning the world from your mind. She starts to cry as she recalls seeing her mother, but doesn't understand how that can be as she thought her mother was dead. He says Blake had explained to him about her while she was asleep, and gently tells her that the apparition was created by the Reality Marble, so her real mother is still dead. Nonetheless, she wants to see her again, but she has no idea how she did that.

He says he doesn't know much about Reality Marbles, but he knows someone who does. Iskandar kicks the door open and enthusiastically greets them, hugging Astolfo. He says he is glad for this exchange program as he gets to meet new amazing students. As Ruby is bewildered by his over the top nature, he promises to help her reach her full potential. She tries to ask him about Reality Marbles, but he says first she has to rest and recover from her injuries. Next, they have to find her a proper mount, not just her rocket propelled locker. And then they will work on mastering her Reality Marble. He says it will be a difficult journey, but she is willing to do what it takes. Iskandar tells Astolfo he had better work hard as well, and he agrees. Iskandar says their class will begin the day after tomorrow, then leaves.

In another infirmary, Caren Hortensia finishes treating Cinder's neck and puts an eyepatch over her damaged eye, warning her to leave it on all day so her eye can recover. Caren leaves. Archer and Mercury are there and Archer asks why Cinder lost control and tried to kill Ruby. Cinder gives a rant that she hates people who are born with powers. She had to work hard to acquire all of her powers, and she believes people like Ruby who were born with them didn't earn them. Archer sighs and says if he is going to continue teaching her, she'll need some self control. His mother may like her, but if she ever tries anything like that again, he will put her down.

Mercury reports that Emerald called and said she and Neo should arrive back the next morning. Now, he has a private combat class with Bazett and he is running late. Archer is terrified and says Bazett will be so pissed that he is late. Cinder offers that she and Archer come with him to give him support. As they walk off, Archer and Cinder comment to each other that Mercury will likely lose his legs again.

Pyrrha and Vlad walk together on the school's wall. He asks how she wants to be remembered. She says she wants to be remembered as a great Huntress. He notes she did not say the best Huntress. In the ensuing conversation, it comes to light that due to being a prodigy in Beacon Academy, Pyrrha was isolated since no one wanted to get to know her, until she met her friends in Team RWBY and Team JNPR. But then, she started subconsciously holding back out of fear that she would alienate them too. Vlad says that is no good, and she should strive to be as strong as she can possibly be. Pyrrha says she doesn't want to be alone again, but he points out her losses to Gilgamesh and Enkidu, so she is obviously not the strongest. If she becomes stronger, she won't be lonely at the top, she'll reach the many friends waiting for her at the top. She steels herself and says she wants to be remembered as the Huntress who can win any battle. Pleased, he says they will begin training soon, and he expects great things from her.

Archer and Cinder watch and wince in sympathy as Bazett beats the living daylights out of Mercury, giving him a bloody nose. Eventually, she hits his left leg so hard it breaks off. She is surprised it was artificial, which utterly shocks him as using that much force on a real leg would have completely destroyed it. When she says the leg was weak, Archer is insulted because he made it. Bazett tells Archer to improve his Tracing and Mercury to improve his skill before leaving. As Archer collects the leg, Mercury asks Cinder not to tell Emerald about this.
