An old friend helps the team figure out who's behind the evil plan, then makes a shocking discovery after a hair-raising race in the streets.
- Foreshadowing: Ms. Nowhere isn't answering the Spy Racers' call during Layla's race with the mysterious driver. Of course, the mysterious driver is revealed to be Ms. Nowhere, and she's under Rafaela's mind control.
- Pretend to Be Brainwashed: After breaking free of Rafaela's mind control, Layla resorts to do this to fool her goons into thinking she's still under their control.
- The Reveal: The mastermind is revealed to be Rafaela Moreno, who faked her death to enact her plan.
- Xanatos Gambit: Layla's race with the mysterious driver (a mind-controlled Ms. Nowhere) serves as this for Rafaela. If she loses, her undercover role has been exposed. If she wins, her undercover role will still be exposed since she didn't dare doing the risks her opponent has done during the race.
