On the day of the solar eclipse festival, Elena learns that her scepter is magical and that it's channeling the magic inside her from being inside the Amulet—and while she's holding the scepter, she can destroy things when she says the wrong word. Zuzo advises her not to touch the scepter, much less say the wrong word, until they investigate how it works. But during the festival, the kingdom is terrorized by the evil moth fairy, Orizaba, who's plotting to get the Eye of Midnight and freeze the eclipse. Elena realizes that she might need it to send Orizaba back to the Spirit World.
