Some time after leaving Xuan Zang to further his training, Wu Kong returns to the Halidom to present himself as an official rookie sealer. Upon arrival, he tell the group of his assignment to check on the Jin Gu Er to make sure a fiend within it hasn't escaped. That fiend is known as Mei Hou Wang.
Upon arriving, they find a man who claims to be Mei Hou Wang, but he seems a lot nicer than they anticipated, and he doesn't even remember anything. Wu Kong grows close to him quickly, but the bond is cut short when Xuan Zang arrives with intent on sealing him away. Wu Kong breaks the Jin Gu Er in an attempt to save Mei Hou Wang, but this only results in Mei Hou Wang becoming hostile upon regaining his memories and power.
This event contains examples of:
- Breaking Old Trends: This event doesn't use welfare dragons, instead allowing players to earn tokens to boost Wu Kong's mana circles all the way to 50 during the event's run. During the repeat, those who've already maxed out Wu Kong's Mana Spiral can sell his tokens for rupies.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Wu Kong breaking the Jin Gu Er results in Mei Hou Wang's memories of hatred reawakening within him, prompting the fiend to attack the party.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Mei Hou Wang is the fiend sealed inside the Jin Gu Er that had originally turned Wu Kong into Qitian Dasheng.
