  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Clockmon induces Rapid Aging in its victims so that he can collect the futures that they will never have because of it. Of course, these futures also include any growth the target has yet to undergo, which Hiro exploits by throwing a tree branch into the attack. By the time Clockmon pulls it up, it's grown into a full-sized tree that Clockmon has to end the attack to dodge. As evolution is the closest analogue to aging Digimon typically undergo, his attempt to use his draining on Gammamon reveals a silhouette of GulusGammamon rising above him. Had he continued, Clockmon would likely have triggered the evolution and faced a far more dangerous opponent.
  • Rapid Aging: Clockmon steals time from its victims, manifesting as them rapidly becoming elderly while a stream of ones and zeroes flow from their bodies to Clockmon's. Hiro exploits this by throwing a sapling along the stream, which grows into a large tree by the time it hits Clockmon.
  • We Will Meet Again: While fleeing after having his stolen time broken out by an empowered Gammamon, Clockmon proclaims that he'll steal Hiro and Gammamon's time during their next encounter.
