Saint Marie is preparing for hurricane Irma when a meteorologist researcher Leo Downs is found dead a day before landfall, but the scene is staged to look like the result of a hurricane. Poole learns that Leo's team had many reasons to kill him but every suspect has an alibi. Additional evidence is discovered when Skype video messages found between Leo and his mother reveal that Leo had major plans for his next research project.
