Azur Lane ready themselves as their first ever engagement against the Sirens begins. The Sirens, on the other hand, want to assess the threat level of this new opponent. Despite initially starting out well for Azur Lane, the Sirens changed tactics that nearly overwhelmed them.
It's only after Thorson links with Cleveland that they are able to mount a counterattack. Azur Lane won. However, the Sirens are actually content in their loss, now finally discovering an opponent that can match their skills and power. Azur Lane returns to base in order to recover. Unfortunately, new arrivals are upon them....
- Heroic Second Wind: Despite the Siren having the upper hand at the start, it's only when Thorson established his Psychic Link with Cleveland that allow them to rally the others in fighting back.
- I Let You Win: The initial phase of the battle was merely a test by the Sirens. When they get serious, it was one-sided battle that Azur Lane couldn't keep up.....initially.
- Worthy Opponent: Instead of being dismayed that they lost, the Siren are apparently glad to see someone that can put up a fight against them.
