As part of his training Sumi and Taka, Alucard takes the two hunters into the Belmont Hold, the repository of knowledge collected and transcribed by the long lost clan of monster slayers. The two are eager to learn about magic and how to make Dracula's castle move, but Alucard explains that the mechanisms to make the castle move were damaged beyond his ability to repair in a timely manner, and that they must take time to learn about their enemies...

In Lindenfeld, Saint-Germain returns to the priory to continue his investigations. His look through the old books within leads to a peculiar tome containing knowledge on devilforging, with some pages having been torn out. When he questions Sala on the tome, Sala claims to know nothing of it, despite the fact that it was not the kind of book one may find in a church, as well as the fact that it appeared recently used, and the missing segments were from a chapter on returning people from the depths of Hell. Sala's evasiveness only serves to compound Saint-Germain's suspicions.

Elsewhere, Isaac enters a town that is devoid of all life, save for an old woman whom he recognizes as a fellow forgemaster. According to her, a magician had taken all of the people in the town as slaves, using powerful magics to revoke their free will and force them to build a city in his honor. Such a town would have plenty of material to add to his ranks, giving them a merciful end instead of a lifetime of servitude. The magician also had a massive Carpathian transmission mirror, one large enough to transport an army anywhere he could wish. With this information, Isaac disembarks to build his army and see his ambitions come to fruition.

Back in Lindenfeld, Trevor and Sypha find a pair of monks carving alchemical symbols into the town's buildings. In the hopes of gaining more information, Trevor decides to confront them, beating them both into submission. He kills one of the monks, hides the body, and takes the second as a prisoner. He and Sypha bring the monk to the Judge to get answers, but the monk proves uncooperative. The alchemical symbols mean that the priory is planning something magical in nature for the town, something very troubling...

In the priory, when Saint-Germain is once more alone after the monks leave, he takes advantage of the opportunity to sneak back into the basement. The gem from his companion glows bright: the Infinite Corridor is here. He makes his way down into the basement in the hopes of finding it, only to find much more than he bargained for: a massive sigil, combining the symbols for lead and sulfur, carved into the ground...

...and at the end of the chamber, a massive night creature on a crucifix: the monks' "Visitor"!
