Synopsis:
A famous skyscraper climber falls from the Empire State Building mid-climb. While investigating the cause, Mac & Sheldon find a gunshot victim inside. Meanwhile, Stella & Danny investigate the death of a man found wearing a bra made of diamonds, and Aiden works solo on a rape case.Tropes for the episode:
- Big Honking Traffic Jam: Mac is one of those honking his horn in the middle of stopped traffic blocking the way to his crime scene. He gives up and says, "Grab your kit, Hawkes. We're walking."
- Diamonds in the Buff: There are flashbacks to a photo shoot where a model is wearing the diamond bra and nothing else.
- Encyclopaedic Knowledge: After Sheldon tells Mac all about mosquitoes, Mac tells Stella that he is "a walking encyclopedia of tidbit information."
- Modeling is Glamorous: A model being questioned in the theft of the largest jewel from a diamond-studded bra tells Danny she'd been jet-setting between Paris and New York, and that she made $10,000 just for getting out of bed that morning.
