Farewell Phantom Thief, Part 2.

The Awesome Brawlers discover that Ajit has been returning all the stolen items he and Storm stole as a Phantom Thief. However, upon returning the artifact he had stolen a while ago at the museum, Ajit encounters his former mentor, who is not only more deranged and acting slightly out of character, but also has a Bakugan partner: Cimoga.

Episode Tropes:

  • Big Damn Heroes: The Awesome Brawlers arrive to save Ajit, having realized the museum was the one place Ajit didn’t get the chance to return hone of the stolen artifacts.
  • Heroic Second Wind: Once Ajit steals Storm’s cane and using the Baku Gear, he’s able to regain his confidence with Pharol able to defeat Cimoga after a long battle.
  • Hoist by Their Own Petard: Storm trained Ajit in many forms of deception and thievery. How does Ajit manage to win despite Storm cheating in their match? Stealing Storm's cane with the same tactics.
  • I Shall Return: Before Ajit is taken by authorities, he promises the Awesome Brawlers that they will meet again once he atones for his crimes.
  • More than Mind Control: Haviik’s control of Storm doesn’t just outright make Calloway a brainwashed servant. Rather, Calloway’s mentality as a Phantom Thief is warped. While he denounces his relationship with Ajit for his protege’s betrayal, he actively choose to destroy the museum and the artifacts there as a part of his revenge, ignoring his love for aesthetics and deciding only to destroy anything he used to consider beauty. Ajit even points out he would never do something like that, implying Haavik’s brainwashing brought out the worse aspects of Calloway’s negative traits.
  • Self-Restraint: Ajit turns himself in after defeating Calloway Storm to answer for his crimes.
  • This Is Something He's Got to Do Himself: Even though the Awesome Brawlers arrive to help Ajit out against Calloway, Ajit asks to let him defeat Calloway on his own. Dan, now getting their relationship, let's him, and Ajit performs much better in the second half of the battle, eventually defeating them.
  • Worthy Opponent: Haavik starts to discard his hatred of the Awesome Brawlers, finding their ability to thwart his plans just as entertaining, or in his words, "it's been a long time since I faced anyone that's so fun to play with".
