Chapter 4
In the Ruins of Conflict, Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Bulu arrive to meet Tapu Koko, who informs them of the fact that many Legendaries are coming to Alola to reward Ash for helping them, also revealing to them that Ash is the Chosen One while mentally planning to visit Ash and test his strength again.
Ash wakes up inside Kukui's lab and nearly knocks himself back out as he remembers why he passed out. He clumsily lies to his friends to protect Latias's identity, but shortly thereafter decides to tell Kiawe the truth. Kiawe immediately blurts it out in surprise, and at Ash's prompting, Latias reveals herself.
As everyone is still getting over the shock, the sky darkens outside, and Latias recognizes the cause as Zekrom. Ash and Pikachu nervously step outside to face the dragon, who gives his gift to Pikachu: electrical power unmatched by any non-Legendary Electric-type and the move Fusion Bolt. Latias explains the gift as Zekrom invites Pikachu to test his new powers in a battle. The Thunderbolt that Pikachu uses at about 2/3 strength damages Zekrom somewhat, to Ash and Pikachu's awe, and at Zekrom's prompting, he uses Fusion Bolt, blasting Zekrom out to sea and leaving everyone reeling. Zekrom leaves, satisfied, and Ash and Pikachu are delighted from Pikachu's new power.
