Basic Trope: An overwhelmingly powerful enemy turns out to be one of a huge fleet

  • Straight: Bobzilla, the immense kaiju, awakens and arrives in the kingdom. Alice's army loses many great warriors, but defeats it. Then, its extended family arive, and they are angry...
  • Exaggerated: Karg'lothax, a nigh-invulnerable lovecrafftian Horror, is awakened upon the land. Alice's army have to invoke forbidden magic, sacrifice, millions of men, and summon an ancient demon to beat it. Even then, it destroys half the land. Then, once the remaining heroes prepare to celebrate, millions of identical horrors pour forth from a tear in spacetime...

  • Downplayed: Bobzilla's parents, each one as powerful as him, arrive. However, when the heroes beat them, no more arrive.
  • Justified: Bobzillasaurus is an undiscovered species, or the result of the villains plan to create an army of supersoldiers.
  • Inverted: A million Bobzillas arrive, and are defeated with thousands of sacrifices. Then, they are followed by one more.
  • Subverted: Bobzilla turns out to be scouting for an invading Bobzilla army... which turn out to be vaguely reptilian puffballs.
  • Double Subverted: The vaguely reptillian puffballs then reveal their sharp fangs by tearing the King's army to shreds. They then head towards the castle, munching through everything in their way.
  • Parodied: The King's army are so incompetent that they nearly fail to destroy a cheese stick. Then, a cheese stick vendor arrives with thousands for sale.

  • Zig-Zagged: as the vicious killer puffballs make their way to the castle, Alice and her two best friends easily skewer them. Then, their ghosts emerge, possessing the ground and turning into 50 foot mud monsters, which are destroyed after a tough fight. Except it turns out they were merely Cthulhu's pets as he arrives to finish the job... It seems like a tough fight, only for Cthulhu's parents to drag him away for trying to conquer another planet.
  • Averted: Bobzilla's a tough fight, but no more show up.
  • Enforced: "We need to raise the stakes for the protagonists."
  • Lampshaded: "Oh Great. More Bobzillas are coming."
  • Invoked: Evulz sees how much difficulty the protagonists had with Bobzilla, and begins making a clone army of them.
  • Exploited: Evulz casts a spell to strengthen the Bobzilla horde, with the hopes that this shall surely put an end to Alice.

  • Defied: The lake Bobzilla comes from is sealed to make sure con more come out.
  • Discussed: "Oh Great. Watch there be more Bobzillas."
  • Conversed: "I have no idea how Alice will get out of this one in the next episode of Alice Adventures."
  • Implied: In the climax, Alice's army defeat Bobzilla with much difficulty. They celebrate, and the movie ends with an army of red eyes peering through the shadows.
  • Deconstructed: The heroes die horribly
  • Reconstructed: The doomed heroes manage to get away, and seek something that can beat an army of Bobzillas, hoping there's a bit of kingdom to get back to..
  • Played for Laughs: Bobzilla's extended family, when they arrive, reveal that their true form is 50 foot bunnies, who nibble on grass and wiggle their noses as they destroy the city. Each one is still as difficult to beat as the first.
  • Played for Drama: Most of the protagonists die fighting the Bobzillas,
  • Played for Horror: The protagonists defeat a strange shadowy monster after enough difficulty, and spend the rest of the movie hiding as an army of similar monsters hunt them down one by one.
