Basic Trope: A character tends to be forgetful for reasons aside from having a brain injury or dementia.

  • Straight: Jones often has difficulty remembering things, often asking questions about something that just happened a few minutes ago.
  • Exaggerated:
    • Jones tends to forget details like his own name, where he lives, etc
    • Everyone in the cast has difficulty remembering things.
  • Downplayed: Jones occasionally forgets certain details of something that just happened.

    • Jones has short-term memory loss.
    • Jones gets distracted easily or otherwise wasn't paying attention to what he was supposed to remember.
