Nightmare Fuel / Destiny's Divide

  • Neo's drive to kill Ruby is rather terrifying. Not only does she continue to attack Blake in an attempt to get to her despite the fact that they're falling thousands of feet through the air, by the time she finally catches up to her at Kini-Nui she's got a haggard appearance because she's pushed herself to her limits trying to find the Red Reaper.
  • Makuta's power is clear when just hearing his name for the first time from Kapura sends a chill up Yang's spine, despite not knowing anything about him at that point.
  • When he first arrives on Mata Nui, Kopaka's first instinct at seeing something else is to immediately fire blasts of ice at it. If not for Weiss, he would have done this to Matoro.
  • In this universe, instead of Voya Nui rocketing up to the surface after tearing away from the Southern Continent, the Continent broke apart, the pieces scattering across the dome, which is is left largely in darkness, to the point that an Onu-Matoran (who live underground, for those unfamiliar) thinks that a Mask of Night Vision would be useful if he could use it.
  • Blake makes it clear that the only reason that Adam didn't sleep with her is because he didn't want to risk his power and prestige by doing so before she became a legal adult.
  • While it's Played for Laughs, "An Icy Reception" shows that Kopaka is perfectly willing to murder Henry Marigold for emotionally hurting Weiss.
  • In "Team Building", one of Tahu, Pohatu, and Onua's attempts to form a Kaita again nearly causes a volcano to form.
  • In "A Cat Most Curious", the kitten Albus being all alone makes Whitley briefly wonder if the Grimm aren't ignoring animals any longer...
  • In "Mix and Match", Qrow and Emerald aren't having any luck finding Tyrian and Mercury, which is several flavors of worrying.
  • The Bohrok are so terrifying that Kapura can do nothing but repeat their name over and over when he finds the Toa.
  • A ship of Agori and Glatorians crash-land near Vacuo, and are immediately beset by the Grimm.
  • The Order of Mata Nui kidnaps Penny right after the Bohrok attack on Ta-Koro to get information from her, and when she resists Helryx creates a water bubble around her head and makes it clear that she will kill Penny if she doesn't cooperate.
  • The Skrall have crash-landed on Remnant alongside the Agori and Glatorians, and then Tyrian approaches them...
  • The Skrall have given Salem the idea of Grimm that they can ride.
  • A group of Pahrak try to divert seawater into the Mangai volcano, which Tahu makes clear would wipe the island clean of life.
  • A small piece of sharp Exsidian manages to pierce through Nebula's Aura and hurt her thumb. And the Skrall just got a crate full of the stuff...
  • Nokama tells Kopaka that some of the secrets the Turaga are keeping would make the Toa beg for death.
  • Emerald remembers how Cinder would always make her make training dummies of Ruby with her Semblance.
  • Neo is nearly killed by the Tahnok attacking Po-Koro before reinforcements arrived, being covered in burns.
  • Someone sets off an incendiary device that burns down a building, with Winter barely rescuing two young Faunus girls in time.
  • Salem has used the Staff to create the "Grey Widows", cyborg Grimm that can create more of themselves, other Grimm, and assemble machinery with great efficiency, and thanks to that piece of Loophole Abuse if/when she makes something new she'll still have them.
  • Whitley pisses off a Hunstman on a bridge and very nearly gets thrown off it.
  • Nuparu and Ruby nearly drown when the Bohrok flood Onu-Koro.
  • In addition to the Skirmishers for the Skrall to ride, Salem also created the Valkyries for aerial support, the giant snake Nidhoggs for all terrain shock troopers that can attack on air or land (and with some of Merlot's serum in a hidden organ to boot), and the Svalinn, massive mobile transports and fortresses made of bone.
