• In the second book of the series, The Bald Bandit, the trio find out the robber of their town bank and they catch him at Dink’s house along with the police. However, the bandit grabs Ruth Rose in an attempt to get away along with her! Thankfully, she lets out a huge scream that saves her, but had she not done that, something worse would’ve happened to her. Also, keep in mind that this was in the SECOND book of the series.
  • Before that, the trio found out that the bandit was the person who’d hired them to find the person who videotaped the robbery. And they had not a SINGLE idea until the last minute and Dink and Josh are literally trying not to give the evidence to the bandit. Thankfully, Ruth Rose and the police showed up…

  • Another thing: the book says the person who filmed the robbery was a teenager, so the bandit was chasing after him to destroy the evidence. Or worse, he could have done something much worse…

• Basically most of Dink’s catapult nightmares.

• In the Goose’s Gold, the trio decides to unmask the main antagonists by going on to a ship and the latter had no idea they were there. Then they decide to sink the ship having no idea the kids were there. And the kids almost drown when the ship sinks. In a KIDS book. Thank goodness another ship arrived to save them…

• Just the entire plot of The Kidnapped King. Dink is supposed to have an exchange student named Sammi stay over at his house. But then, he later finds out that Sammi is at his house because his parents are kidnapped. Why? They were the King and Queen of Costra. So Sammi had to stay over at Dink’s for safety. And then what happens? Sammi gets kidnapped BY HIS OWN TUTOR.
  • What makes this worse is that we don’t know why Sammi and his family got kidnapped. Possibly being the son of a king?
    • Plus, what would have Joan done because of the neighborhood search for Sammi? TRY TO KILL SAMMI. Sadly Truth in Television.

• During the search for Sammi, when the trio think Joan is the kidnapper, Dink can’t find his mom. It leads him to think his own mother has been kidnapped too! Thankfully, his mom wasn’t kidnapped, she just went to the police, but it’s still terrifying!
  • Even more: If Dink’s mom was actually kidnapped, things would have been much worse. Joan would have done something very terrible to her, so it’s a relief Dink’s mom was safe.
    • Also, Dink’s dad was on a business trip, and Dink was left with his mom and Sammi, so post all the horror that happened, how was everyone going to explain the incident to Dad?
• In White House White Out, the trio meets the president’s daughter and her friend for Christmas. It’s all supposed to be fun… until all the kids and a dog get KIDNAPPED.
  • Even worse, Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose were in Dink’s father’s care, so God knows how he felt the entire time.
