• Clo-Clo's fortune teller friend Maria keeps insisting that she made a mistake whenever she draws an ominous card when she tries to tell Clo-Clo's future, whether Clo-Clo sees it or not.
• Charlie fondly recalls how his leopard is normally a tame creature, mentioning that he's fallen asleep in the same room with it, and the animal has never tried to hurt him.
• Clo-Clo has a friendly conversation with a Cool Old Guy tourist about their respective dreams and disappointments while the man's family is ignoring him, and he gives her a $100 bill at the end of the evening.
• After coming home, Clo-Clo picks up her sleeping little sister and talks about how she's going to buy her a new dress with some of the money she just got.
• When Clo-Clo can't afford to buy a flower, Rosita gives her one from the bouquet she just purchased for Consuela, saying she won't miss it.
• Consuela's birthday celebration, where the household wakes her up singing, and she thanks them in turn.
• While waiting to meet her boyfriend at the grave of her father, Consuela talks to her father as if he is there, apologizing for lying to her mother about her boyfriend and expressing hope that she'll approve of him when the two finally meet.
