Heartwarming / The Husky and His White Cat Shizun: Erha He Ta De Bai Mao Shizun

Go To

  • Mo Ran looks around Chu Wanning's room and recognizes the armored soldiers Chu Wanning had made in the future for the common folk who couldn't afford to hire cultivators. Even when Chu Wanning is gruff or temperamental around others, there's a lot of kindness he has for others that he'd rather let his actions show.
  • As Chu Wanning listens to the ghost girl who was kidnapping men for weddings, he empathizes with her pain and gently assures her that everything that lead to her death was not her fault. After being gaslit and blamed for everything that went wrong, she breaks down into tears as she quietly thanks Chu Wanning for listening to her story before he leaves.
    • Then when he confronts the family, while he used more force than necessary, it shows that despite Chu Wanning's cold exterior, he truly cares for others.
  • Chu Wanning willingly takes punishment for attacking their clients, and Xue Meng nearly punches the elder for not stopping when Chu Wanning was still recovering from the shoulder wound he received. As haughty as Xue Meng acts, he cares for his shizun and knows he's a good man.
  • Any of the times Chu Wanning shows that, in spite of his cold and cruel behavior, he really does care for his disciples.
    • In chapter forty-seven, Xue Meng is upset because he didn't get a holy weapon, and now he won't achieve his dreams of greatness.
Chu Wanning: Don't cry. You're already great.
    • Continuing on from the above, one of the first things Chu Wanning does upon returning to the Peak is to start researching alternate methods of obtaining a Holy Weapon, so Xue Meng will have the chance to claim one in the future. He’s also injured, and meant to be recovering and resting at this point in time.
