Heartwarming / Speckles: The Tarbosaurus

• Speckles, after enduring so much in only a few years, finally finds a friend when Blue Eyes comes around.
  • Even better is how they became friends—Speckles was trying to defend his catch from her, when he happened to notice that this strange Tarbosaurus who couldn’t have been older than he was, was covered in small wounds and looked half-starved. He decides then and there to share his food with her as opposed to driving her away. From then on, the two are rarely seen apart through the rest of the film.

• Speckles’ bond with his family as a whole. Both of them.

• Of course, things eventually go very South later on , but right before the local volcano erupts , Speckles considers having his nest back, with his new family to be “the happiest moment” for him.

• Speckles’ sheer love for Blue Eyes, and how much he’s willing to protect her. The same can be said about their hatchlings .
