Heartwarming / Saving Face

• Despite being in denial about Wil's homosexuality for most of the movie, her mother Gao encourage her to go after Viv at the airport before the latter leaves to Paris. From that point on, she becomes very supportive of Wil.
• After a sad break up at the airport, Wil and Viv reunite three months later. They get back together and Wil isn't afraid of kissing Viv in public anymore. Even Viv's dad, who had disapproved the romance earlier in the film, accepts it this time.
