Finally, a happy ending...
- Norbit's vows to Kate when they're practicing for her own wedding.
- While it in no way excuses the way that they treat Norbit later in his life (nor the way they routinely exploit and intimidate the other town residents), and it is certainly not done out of entirely selfless motives, Rasputia does defend Norbit from other schoolyard bullies, while her brothers treat Norbit like a member of the family when he is a child. They even save him what they consider the best part of the meal when he is over for dinner: the turkey ass.
- When Norbit and Kate get married at the end. What makes it especially so is that they wed under the same tree they had their pretend wedding when they were kids. Even as adults, they still place ring pops on each other's hands.
- Just seeing Norbit finally catching a well-earned break for once in his life.
- Even Rasputia and her siblings go on to lead successful lives. While not in the most ideal location, they do end up opening the strip club (in Mexico).
- Despite Norbit undoubtedly being glad that they are out of his life, he also seems to be happy that things worked out for the Lattimores and bears them no remaining ill will for everything that they put him through, fitting in with his good-natured disposition and tendency to see the best in bad circumstances.
