- Gothel giving up her life to save Rapunzel.
- Eugene refusing to seduce Rapunzel into giving him the crown, or just taking the crown and leaving when Quasimodo challenges him to. And then telling Quasi that it's him Rapunzel loves, not Eugene, and singing A Guy Like You to him. And in contrast to canon, Rapunzel does love Quasi.
