Heartwarming / Dragon Ball Z: Dynasty

• Son Goku's meeting with his Family in Hell. Before that point, he though that the Saiyans race as whole where nothing more then ruthless monster that only cared about killing and conquering planets. But his encounter with Gine make him realise that not everyone who came from their race were a lost cause.
• After hearing about Gine being a kamikaze soldier, Bardock immediately went after her to save her. Later after the Makyans were defeated he refused an elite class promotion and demanded that Gine gets pardoned for her crimes, preventing her execution.
  • The group also cares about her. After she gets released from prison, Taro offers a place in the outskirts, Bardock carries Gine due to how injured she is, and Panbukin jokes about her being part of the criminal club, stating that the group needs to get Leek arrested next.
• Future Bulma’s response to hearing they were going to bring their androids back to try to save the present ones? Ask if it was Goku, Gohan, or Krillin who made friends with them, before going along without complaint. Even with them being dead for years, and with all the pain their androids caused them, she still trusts her friend’s judgement on these things.
• When the Z Warriors are fighting the Cell Juniors, Yamcha has a serious crisis of confidence. He feels worthless and unable to contribute to his friends' efforts, but Piccolo bluntly tells him You Are Better Than You Think You Are. Kami telepathically reaches out to Yamcha from within Piccolo to say the same thing and to show him that the rest of the Dragon Team see him as a valued comrade, even Vegeta. For readers who sympathize with Yamcha as a Failure Hero and have similar doubts about themselves, this passage can really resonate.
• Yamcha and Suno’s loving relationship. EVERYONE can see how deeply in love they are. When their daughter is born, you can’t help but want to cry tears of joy at the sheer joy in Yamcha’s “MY BABY GIRL!”
• Villainous Example. Ginyu and Frieza have a far closer relationship than in canon, Ginyu practically raising him alongside Berryblue. As much as everyone says Ginyu only got that far out of sheer bootlicking, the care they have for each other is genuine.
