Heartwarming / Cursed Princess Club

Go To

This is the story of a princess learning to love herself.

  • Queen Lilyth’s reaction to Gwen when she was born. She had been so worried about her children not being beautiful but the moment she laid eyes on Gwen, she fell in love with her.
  • Gwen waking up not with a kiss from Frederick, but from herself after her mother assured her she's beautiful.
  • Nell and Jolie getting engaged.
  • Once Jack returns home, he reveals he realized from the blackmail note about how he much he hurt his children and has given up honoring his late wife's wishes. He doesn't have the clam, and instead brought back something else: Lilyth's family and friends from the Braided Island so they can finally meet her children. They even got souvenirs for the kids!
  • He also states that if they wish so, he'll let them meet his birth parents, despite them parting on bad terms.
  • The "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue has very notable points:
    • Once Jack learned that Lilyth was still among them, he cried for a whole week.
    • The kids are getting along with the family, and both Jamie and Leopold made more artwork so Lilyth could travel around the castle.
    • Jack held a celebration to acknowledge the people who helped defended the castle from the invasion.
    • While the citizens don't clap for the Cursed Princess Club at first, their friends and families automatically do.
    • The forest of the Cursed Princess Club was declared a protected area by the king so it's never in danger of being invaded again.
    • Remember Themidora's lobster lover, Benedict? Turns out he willingly got himself cursed to be part human as well so he can be with her! Awww....
    • Aurelia turns out to have gotten together with Celso after their meeting at the castle.
    • Maria got to fulfill her dream of singing her recital for everyone, which caught the eye of her idol and they began collabing with him. Blaine is also shown to be attending, showing he hasn't forgotten her.
    • With the growing acknowledgement and support for the Cursed Princess Club, Prez is looking to expand to help more people who are cursed.
    • As for Gwen, she no longer sees cracks in her reflection, and is happy with Frederick.
  • The final words of the story are Lilyth's note for her children kept hidden her portrait, which perfectly captures the message of self love and inner beauty this comic has been about:
Lilyth: To my darlings... If you are reading this, then all has gone well, and I have been able to witness you becoming the wonderful people you are today. This letter is for everyone to read, but as the current reigning queen of the Pastel Kingdom, I have a duty to deliver this message to you girls... Just as Jack's mother, the former Pastel Queen, did for me within the walls of this palace... regarding this family's longstanding quest for everlasting beauty. I am proud to inform you that when the four of you were born, their dreams finally came to fruition... for you, my darlings are the most beautiful in all the land. But contrary to their treatises, eternal beauty has nothing to do with the birds that flock to be near you, nor is it the flowers that bloom in your path, or the light that stands all around you. These are all incredible blessings of beauty. And they will fade with time. But one has the ability to glow stronger with each year... and it is a light that radiates inside each of you. That light might go unseen by most. But when you love someone, just as I love all of you, you notice it in every little moment... the joy in your voice when you sing your favorite song, the courage you have when you face the world, the insatiable love you possess for all you hold dear, and the kindness in your heart. My hope is that one day you see this too. For the secret to eternal beauty... is to see it within yourself, where you come from, and everything you are. With this, my darlings, I have no doubt in my heart... that wherever you go.. and whoever you meet... you will surely find your happily-ever-after.
