Heartwarming / C.O.P.S. (1988)

  • "The Case of the Pardner in Crime" ends with Sundown mending his friendship with Johnny Yuma after convincing his ex-partner to give himself up. The obligatory ending narration by Bulletproof proceeds to state that Johnny Yuma was let out early on good behavior and that he's now back on the force.
  • "The Case of the Brilliant Berserko" has the now-smart nephew attempt to negotiate a partnership with his uncle Big Boss. Far from feeling threatened or being reluctant to share, Big Boss was just happy for his nephew and told him that his father would have been proud.
  • Bowser and Blitz embracing at the end of "The Case of the Blitz Attack".
  • In "Case of the Blur Bandits", Highway feels useless after the super-fast crooks steal his turbocycle and resigns from the C.O.P.S. After they manage to confiscate one of the speed suits, it'll only fit Highway. Before Highway goes out to arrest the crooks, Bulletproof suddenly stops him...and pins his badge back on. Highway spent most of the episode thinking he was worthless, but his teammates, especially his boss, never did. Bulletproof was just waiting for him to see it for himself.
  • As much as Berserko's stupidity may drive him up the wall, Big Boss does indeed care for his nephew. Nowhere is this more evident than in "The Case of The Lowest Crime" when, after Berserko accidentally fell into a crate of Crystal Twist and suffered a near-fatal overdose, he teamed up with C.O.P.S. to take down Addictem.
