Headscratchers / The Flash 2014 S 5 E 12 Memorabilia

• Okay so Word of God confirmed this season that Iris was going to be the founder of the Central City Citizen, the newspaper outlet that reported on the Flash disappeared in the 2024 Crisis (circa 2021 Pre-Flaslpoint, circa 2019 Post-Flashpoint). If that's the case, how did the newspaper still exist in the alternate timeline where Savitar killed her, let alone have the piece being written by Julie Greer?
  • According to Legends of Tomorrow, “Some things want to happen.” The Central City Citizen is always destined to be founded. In the timeline where Iris died, someone else founded it and hired the same people Iris does. And since “Central City Citizen” was the only name available, they still had to name it that.
• Didn't Nora (or less likely, Barry and Iris) notice that the Cicada being fought at the end had long blonde hair and thus clearly wasn't Orlin? If so, why didn't they mention that during the episode's Dénouement? It seems like a peculiarity worth noting for more than just the audience.
  • She in a panic and trying to get back to reality when the original plan failed. It's easy to miss the obvious details in that state of mind. Nora may have even dismissed it as another defense mechanism that simply got distorted.
