- In the third season episode "Front Page," Jo writes an article for the school paper about a teacher being arrested at a coke party. She later finds out that he was released after an hour and there hadn't been any evidence he had been abusing drugs. Still, the article sinks his teaching career; he is asked to resign from Eastland. Is that legally possible? All of this happened over an article that was only partly accurate, and Mrs. Garrett finds out quickly what really happened. Would a poorly researched article in a student paper really be enough to lead the school to ask for a teacher's dismissal?
