• Why wouldn't Data have had Spot spayed? Intact female cats are very difficult to live with, as they go into heat frequently and scream and cry loudly for its duration.
  • Perhaps the 23rd century doesn't believe in doing so. Perhaps centuries of neutering has caused a lack of cats, thus continuing to do so would be unheard of.
